Meet Shamon INGRAM

We recently connected with Shamon INGRAM and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Shamon , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
The way I develop my confidence and self-esteem is through trial and error. I believe one can’t get others to believe in you if you do not believe in yourself. Although it has been hard at times I have learned to turn a negative into a positive. I work in the field that a lot of people look down upon, but it has brought me many opportunities. Like they say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and one man’s dream can be another man’s nightmare. It’s all about perspective! I also give a lot of credit to my grandma and mom for laying the foundation and belief system for me to believe in the power outside of myself. At times prayer and meditation is all we have and there is great power in faith!! You cannot enjoy The view from the mountain peaks without first remembering the journey that took you through the valley!!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello I’d like to introduce/reintroduce myself to the community. My name is Shamon Ingram aka Arizona Bamm and I am a sign spinner!!! More importantly I am the general manager of the AArrow Sign Spinners in Denver, Colorado and am currently ranked 25th in the world of sign spinning.

My story begins when I was born in Flagstaff, Arizona where I lived the first 19 years of my life. I eventually moved to Phoenix where I worked, started a family, and started working on building a future. Long story short I eventually ended up losing everything because of bad decisions I made and to top it off I found myself in trouble with the law. After a brief stay in state custody I found myself in need of work, and found a job a Denny’s. I applied for dishwasher but the hiring staff loved my personality and promoted me to host. It was a brand new Denny’s in Scottsdale and no one new it was open, but they had signs no one wanted to hold. I volunteered as long as I could dance and listen to music, they agreed and business started booming. That’s where Nick Teshler saw me and offered me a job as a professional sign spinner. Ten years later I am still at it.

Sign Spinning is one of the most cost-effective forms of advertising. We help boost local foot traffic and brand awareness with our unique tricks and attention methods. AArrowSignSpinners.com sign spinners have appeared in movies, television shows, new segments, music video, etc. If it’s media and you want to add a spin to it look no further then the AArrow Sign Spinners.

My goal at the moment is rebuilding our market. After COVID a lot of us have felt the impact. We are currently hiring new team members who would like to learn the art and trade that is sign spinning. We are also looking for local businesses who could use our services. We will be back stronger and better than ever.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three of my most important skills and area of knowledge that I can help others with in the early development is. The ability to learn from my mistakes and hold myself accountable for the things I have control over. I believe the serenity prayers States it best. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. The serenity in knowing I cannot change others. Courage in knowing I do have the ability to change myself and my actions. I believe the wisdom comes with trail and error, yes you get knocked down, yes you fall but you recover, regroup, than redo!!!

People don’t have to love you in order for you to love others. If you smile and wave to someone and they don’t return the favor, don’t stop smiling and waving you never know who’s day you can impact or why they’re not smiling back.

Treat others as you want to be treated. Put out as much positive energy you can and you shall receive it back tenfold. These are the things that first come to mind , hope that helps

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am definitely looking for folks to collaborate with, local businesses, apartments, car dealerships, store fronts, political campaigns, sporting events, festivities, parades, etc. If you need a little extra attention we definitely can be of assistance. I currently have over 30 million views on Google,8k followers on Instagram, 3k on Tik Tok and have been featured in countless news segments. I have worked extremely hard building a great resume of happy clients and would love to help as many businesses and teams as possible.
