We were lucky to catch up with Shana Bridges recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Shana, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
The source of my resilience is my faith in God. Like everyone, I’ve faced numerous challenges, but I believe it’s our response to these challenges that defines us. I am committed to growing in emotional maturity, recognizing the importance of managing my strong emotions without letting them dictate my actions. My resilience is anchored in the understanding that while I cannot overcome obstacles alone, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This faith gives me the strength and perseverance to navigate life’s trials with confidence and grace.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m married to my phenomenal best friend, Zach, and am a stay-at-home mom to our three wonderful children. As a family, we cherish outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and learning together. My journey as an entrepreneur spans my entire life, having never clocked into a traditional 9-5 job. Instead, I’ve built my own businesses and assisted in the growth of others through hands-on experience, extensive study, and the application of strategies learned from successful business owners.
Our brand, “Paved In Rejoicing,” emerged from a deeply challenging time in our lives. Last November, my children and I were in a car accident that resulted in the loss of everything we had. During this period of helplessness, we chose to trust God completely. We rejoiced in our suffering, remained resilient, and overcame circumstances that could have easily led to despair. Starting over from scratch after moving back home was undoubtedly discouraging, but God had a plan. He inspired the concept for PIR and guided me through its development.
Our mission with Paved In Rejoicing is to bring individuals and families closer to God through digital products and books designed to foster spiritual growth. We aim to provide resources that inspire faith, resilience, and a deeper connection with God, turning our trials into a foundation for others to build upon.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I have always possessed a creative spirit and a talent for connecting people. My expertise in social media, combined with my keen attention to detail and strong administrative skills, allows me to effectively support and assist others. Helping people is my passion.
My advice is to remain perpetually teachable. As our world continuously evolves, it is crucial to adapt while staying grounded in our core values and beliefs.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Bible has been instrumental in my development as a wife, mother, business owner, and overall individual. It is a wealth of wisdom and sound advice. Proverbs 3:5-6 guides me, stating, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Additionally, James 1:5 reinforces the importance of seeking divine wisdom: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” These verses and many others have shaped my journey and continue to provide invaluable guidance.
