We recently connected with Shaniece Marsh and have shared our conversation below.
Shaniece, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Good question, I developed my confidence and self-esteem by owning every part of me the good and the bad. Once you become okay with who you are as person the rest is history. My self-esteem also flows from my creativity that alone reminds me of how dope I really am lol.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Shaniece Marsh, Also known as Niecy. I am a professional makeup artist based in Stockbridge Georgia area. I started doing makeup for clients professionally back in 2017. The most exciting thing about it is seeing my clients smile and just sharing that moment with them. Niecy Michelle Artistry is on its way to the top for sure. We have a lot of plans in stored this year, offering more 1on1 and group classes is definitely on the list.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Wow, looking back I would say dedication, determination and drive were and still are some of my main qualities that impacted my journey. The advice I would give to folks who are early in their journey is to stay focused! It will not be easy everything will not happen right away. It will take time Rome was not built in a day. Know what you want, and it’s okay to not have everything figured out right away, don’t let anyone rush your process. The key is consistency.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I would have to say my Boyfriend for sure. Dannie has been and is my backbone through it all. We talk through my plans, goals, etc. His favorite line is “How does someone fined your drop in the water?” So whenever I’m thinking of ways to be successful that’s my train of thought and what could make me stand out from others are running through my mind.
