Meet Shannon Gaccione

We recently connected with Shannon Gaccione and have shared our conversation below.

Shannon, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I surround myself with strong women. We lift each other up. I keep good self talk. Also, realized at this age I wasn’t going to waste anymore time not liking myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My journey into real estate began after 14 years as a cocktail waitress. Transitioning from that environment to an office setting required me to build my self-esteem, but it ultimately led me to discover my passion for real estate. I started by assisting my husband, who initially ventured into property management. As his business rapidly grew, I naturally took over the real estate side of things.

I work with investors to help build their portfolios, which is exciting to see as people invest in their future. My daughter, now 29, owns two investment properties and is a homeowner, while we also own two investment properties ourselves. We’ve learned valuable lessons from investing in other businesses and firmly believe that Las Vegas real estate is a smart decision. I truly believe in what I’m selling.

I also take great pride in working with first-time homebuyers, helping them achieve their dreams of becoming homeowners. It’s not just about the price point for me… I find real joy in seeing the happiness that comes with making homeownership a reality.

Our daughter joined the family business at just 16, aspiring to join the Air Force like her father, though health issues prevented her from doing so. My sister also joined us, making this work truly a family affair; something that is priceless to me. They handle the property management side of the business, ensuring an easy transition for our investment properties.

In addition to my work, I’m part of a social committee with six other women, where we’ve raised over $40K in just seven months. We are coming up on a year we came together and started this journey together. We’ve hosted several events to raise money and build fellowship, supporting causes like breast cancer fighters/survivors and homeless underprivileged teens to help them continue their education. This work brings me immense joy, knowing that we are making a difference in our community.

My passion for helping others stems from my daughter’s journey as a cancer survivor who also suffers from multiple autoimmune diseases. I understand how crucial it is to have the support of others, and I strive to be that support for those in need.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I wish I did not spend so much time on negative talk. I do not do that any longer and if I catch myself I work on getting out of that headspace as quickly as possible.
Also, it is powerful to go outside my comfort box. It gives you a sense of accomplishment. I tell myself people are not judging. Most of the time they are cheering you on. They don’t see the negative you point out about yourself. TAKE THE COMPLIMENTS!
As my Cousin, Mary who gave my name for this told me; Just say Thank you… – Don’t say something as in I could have done that better or reference something negative. I have always remembered that advice and now pass that on to Friends.
BE CONFIDENT!
Dedicate time to listening to motivational speakers like Les Brown and Zig Ziglar, who inspire with stories of resilience and rising above challenges. Remember, everyone starts from the same place, but what sets successful people apart is their dedication and the climb behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed.

Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. It’s essential to recognize that everyone faces struggles, and only the fun successful images on social media rarely tell the full story.

Incorporate positive habits into your daily routine. When driving, listen to motivational talks or upbeat music that lifts your spirits. Singing can be a powerful tool to combat negativity. Practice deep breathing, say affirmations, and use essential oils to trigger happy memories—these scents can instantly transport your mind to positive moments.

Success is a blend of hard work, the right mindset, and the ability to maintain positivity through life’s ups and downs.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I truly believe in the power of those speaking to you. What they put in your ear. Tell me what they are doing in their life to be successful and happy. Reminders to stay on track of a schedule. To keep healthy. To keep moving. To communicate. We all lose our way. We need some guidance. So if you surround yourself with women/people that do that you take that example. You want to match that energy.
