Meet Shannon Poss

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shannon Poss. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Shannon, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My parents are hardworking entrepreneurs and business owners. I grew up watching them work from home, long nights and into the weekends. I saw them juggle overwhelming responsibilities and overcome life’s challenges with determination and strength. They created their own business, happiness, and financial freedom. I wanted to create my own happiness through my work and passions. My work ethic is a reflection of my insatiable appetite for both mental and financial growth. Even those who appear to work little at success are in many ways always working. Gears always turning, staying greased, never stopping…. because those with a strong work ethic are always moving… always adapting to life’s everchanging road map. Climbing the next mountain to see what’s on top. Only to find once you’re up there, there’s yet another mountain to climb!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

More about myself- I am a hard working mama and entrepreneur who truly loves what I do!

The most rewarding part of The Very Idea and 615 Collection is the impact we have on our community. We find joy in spreading local love through our passion for Murfreesboro and its people. The Very Idea focuses on unique brand development, marketing, and promotional advertising to encourage growth and success. While 615 focuses on this place we call home and why we chose it as the destination for our current journey! I love meeting people and hearing about their journey in life and business and being a part of it!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. FAITH. My most successful accomplishments have stemmed from something I initially thought was impossible.
2. RESILIENCE. You will get knocked down, several times.
3. PASSION. Because without it, it’s only work and work is hard.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My Exes. LOL!

Ex-bosses taught me how NOT to manage people.
Ex-business partners taught me how NOT to manage money.
Ex-copyright infringers taught me how to Trademark.
Ex-employees taught me how to protect my assets.
Ex-coworkers taught me how to work with others.
Ex-cetera…. just keep learning from my past and growing!
