Meet Shantelle Coote

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Shantelle Coote. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Shantelle , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem by trusting my growth and giving myself grace. In the beginning, I was really hard on myself, especially when I started doing brows. I always wanted everything to be perfect, but I realized that true confidence comes from within. The more I trusted myself and my progress, the more my confidence grew.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a licensed esthetician and permanent makeup artist specializing in brows and beauty services. I own a beauty studio in Fort Lauderdale called Shantelles Beauty Lounge where I focus on helping clients achieve perfectly shaped brows. I’m also the Founder of Brow Script which I launched earlier this year starting with my sculpted brow gel and I plan to expand with more products in the future.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three most impactful qualities for me were dedication, continuous learning, and attention to detail. My advice for those starting out is to stay consistent, always seek knowledge, and focus on perfecting your craft. I also believe you should love what you do. I love what I do, so on my workdays I look forward to seeing my clients and nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients smile when I finish their brows.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

My mind is always working and thinking about ways to better my business and be the best in what I do and sometimes this makes me start overthinking. I truly love what I do, so it can feel overwhelming at times. When that happens, I take a short break to reset, clear my mind, and get my focus back.
