Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sheena Eizmendiz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sheena, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience likely comes from a combination of dedication, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset. It stems from the unique challenges I’ve overcome. As someone who embarked on her entrepreneurial journey at just 23 years old, while still in college, I had to navigate a world of immense responsibility. Not only was I balancing my studies and launching a business, but I was also going through a divorce, raising a 4 1/2-year-old and a 12-month-old baby.
That experience of juggling multiple life-altering roles, all while pursuing my ambitions, forged a deep well of strength and determination within me. I learned early on how to persevere through hardship, manage my time efficiently, and prioritize what mattered most. These challenges didn’t just teach me to survive, they shaped my ability to thrive under pressure, turning adversity into an opportunity for growth and success.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As the CEO of The WellBiz, we focus on creating a more inclusive workplace through leadership design, health equity and social impact initiatives. With over 25 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of advising Fortune 500 companies, collaborating with CEOs of multi-million-dollar businesses, and working alongside political leaders. I’ve been featured on numerous TV shows, radio stations, and podcasts as an expert in mindset coaching, hypnosis, and NLP. I also specialize in curating leadership and wellness summits for my corporate clients globally.
In addition to my corporate work, I’m deeply committed to social impact. Through various philanthropic efforts, I work to drive meaningful change in underserved communities, championing causes that promote resilience, equity, and empowerment. Passionate about creating a better world, I frequently speak on topics such as resilience, truth, and the power of change.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that had the most impact on my journey are resilience, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking. These were not only essential for overcoming challenges but also for driving success in both my personal and professional life. For those just starting out, my biggest piece of advice is to invest in developing these traits. They will help you navigate the ups and downs of your journey and build a foundation for long-term success.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was allowing me to truly be myself. They never imposed pressure or set expectations on who I should become. Instead, they gave me the freedom to discover my own path, supporting every idea I had, whether it was great or not-so-great because they understood that I needed to find my own way. That unconditional support allowed me to experiment, learn, and grow without fear of judgment. Even today, they continue to be my biggest cheerleaders, encouraging me to chase my dreams and stand confidently in who I am. Their belief in me has been a cornerstone of my journey.
