Meet Shereese Hameed-Muhammad

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shereese Hameed-Muhammad. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shereese below.

Hi Shereese , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding your purpose can often feel like one of life’s most elusive pursuits, and I believe much of that struggle is shaped by the culture we live in—a culture that places immense value on financial success and social status. For a long time, I, like many others, tied my sense of purpose to external achievements, particularly those associated with money. However, my true purpose revealed itself when I shifted my mindset.

I came to realize that success isn’t defined by wealth, but by the value we bring to others and the world. Value and money don’t always align. This new perspective led me to realign my life’s purpose, focusing on what truly mattered: my time, my family, my community, and the meaningful connections I create through joy, learning, and the positive impact I have on others.

As I reflected on my past roles and experiences, I noticed one constant thread running through all of them—no matter the job, no matter the title—I was always a people builder. Whether through listening, offering support, or providing resources, I found fulfillment in helping others rise above their challenges. The sense of accomplishment I felt when someone left my presence feeling lifted and inspired made it clear to me: my purpose was to help people grow and thrive.

That’s how I knew I was meant to become an Integrative Wellness Life Coach—a guide helping others unlock their potential and live a life of true fulfillment.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am an accomplished Integrative Wellness Life Coach, Entrepreneur, Sound Therapist, Reiki Practitioner, and Author. As the Owner and CEO of Peace For Your Pieces LLC, an integrative wellness company based in Kansas City, MO, I blend Eastern and Western medicinal practices to create authentic, customized Life Plans for my clients. My goal is to bridge the gap between these two approaches, ensuring that each person receives a holistic and comprehensive service tailored to their unique needs.

In addition to my work with Peace For Your Pieces, I also serve as the President of Selfcare Healthcare, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the health and wellness needs of underserved communities. This allows me to give back and make a meaningful difference where it’s needed most.

The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing the profound impact I have on others’ lives. Whether through small shifts or monumental breakthroughs, I’m deeply fulfilled by watching my clients move forward in their personal journeys, creating lives that are more fulfilling, joyful, and aligned with their true purpose. It’s not just about individual growth; it’s about contributing to the positive transformation of the communities we serve.

I’m also excited to announce the launch of my first podcast, set for release in Q1 of 2025, and the debut of my first book, Full Transparency. The book is a blend of poetry, art, life coaching exercises, and raw, honest reflections on my personal life experiences—offering a deep dive into the power of transparency and personal growth.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have been most impactful on my journey are honesty, moral integrity, and a servant leadership mentality. These guiding principles allowed me to take a hard, honest look at myself before stepping into a role that could influence others’ lives. By becoming my own first client, I was able to address the challenges hindering my personal growth and impact on my family.

Through this process, I built and strengthened a moral compass that continues to guide me, both in my own struggles and when supporting others on their journeys. Honesty enables me to speak truth with compassion, while moral integrity ensures I lead by example. I reserve judgment, but I am always committed to speaking truth to power when necessary.

I remind myself daily that true leadership stems from service. I strive to approach everything I do with kindness and care, knowing firsthand the importance of community and a support system. I believe the best way to develop a “winning” set of skills for your life is to consistently reflect on who you are and what you want to be known or remembered for. When you notice yourself drifting away from your true north, don’t hesitate to readjust your choices.

I also highly recommend surrounding yourself with a strong, supportive team—people who act as mirrors, helping you recognize when you’re not reflecting the qualities and skills you strive for.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always eager to connect with like-minded community and business partners! My business model is rooted in integrative wellness, and I’m looking to collaborate with individuals and organizations that share a holistic approach to health and well-being. Whether you already incorporate whole-person modalities into your practice or are interested in integrating this mindset into your current work, I’d love to explore partnership opportunities.

Additionally, I’m always seeking passionate volunteers, especially those with expertise in areas like food, urban gardening, raising chickens, and outdoor nature care. I’m also open to partnering with neighborhood associations and businesses that serve populations outside of my usual clientele—such as those who work with the houseless, recovering addicts, abuse survivors, and others in need of support.

As my business continues to grow, I’m also looking for donors and sponsors to help fund the next phase of my growth venture, set to break ground in 2025. If you’re interested in collaborating or supporting this vision, feel free to reach out! You can contact me by phone at 816-388-0433, by email at [email protected], or visit my website at www.peaceforyourpieces.org.
