Meet Sherianna Boyle

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sherianna Boyle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sherianna below.

Hi Sherianna , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

Years ago I was faced with the harsh reality that my marriage was not at all what I thought it was. I knew it wasn’t perfect but I hadn’t realized how toxic things had gotten. As our marriage began to unravel and the truth started to surface I found myself in the position of having to decide whether to stay married or get divorced.

I choose neither. I must confess at the time I was researching for my book Emotional Detox. I was learning about emotions and the vital role they play in helping us to create a stable, healthy and happy life. I choose to feel. As a result, I decided to put myself on an Emotional Detox for the next year. Through a daily practice of processing my emotions, I was able to heal not just myself but also my marriage.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an author of eleven traditionally published books. I also work as an Emotional Detox virtual coach, adjunct Psychology Professor, and adjunct Professor of Mindfulness & Yoga. My book, Emotional Detox became a best selling series on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Two of my most recent books are:

Energy in Action: The Power of Emotions & Intuition to Cultivate Peace and Freedom. This is where I explain the spiritual laws of the universe and how they teach and support our emotional growth and expansion.

Just Ask Spirit: Free Your Emotions to Energize Intuition & Discover Purpose. This book teaches people how emotional processing strengthens intuition helping you to connect to and receive healing, clarity, messages, and guidance from your spiritual team.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Hands down, learning how to process my emotions was pivotal in my journey, having profound positive effects in all areas of my life including relationships, career, health, finances, stress levels, spiritual growth and more.

Trust your gut. In order to do this you have to take time to process what you feel. This means quit judging, analyzing or managing your emotions and instead learn more about what emotional processing is all about.

Many people ask me what book to begin with. I want readers to know the last five books I have written and spoken about in this interview include the steps for learning how to process what you feel. Begin with whichever one feels right for you. With that said, the core book for an Emotional Detox is the first one. Emotional Detox: 7 Steps to Release Toxicity and Energize Ease is the best one to begin with.

If you are interested in how to work with energy, connect to your spirit guides, receive messages (like I do on a daily basis) then I highly recommend the book: Just Ask Spirit: Free Your Emotions to Energize Intuition and Develop Purpose.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My parents moved to the country when I was a teenager and although at the time I missed my friends, being in nature (away from all the distractions of life) help me to connect to myself more deeply.

My parents were also very open minded when it came to religion. While my mother talked about her relationship with God she was careful not to impose her beliefs on me. In other words, she allowed me to explore both religion and spirituality without judgment.
