Meet Sherree Rogers

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sherree Rogers a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherree, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I got my work ethic from my mom, Brenda Downs and my dad, Norman Rogers. Both of my parents were workaholics.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a lover of all. I live and breathe helping others fill in the gap where needed in their lives and better themselves. I work in the Community giving out free clothes , food, baby items, hygiene products, and resources. I help motivate and encourage others by sharing my stories through experience. I don’t help for recognition or fir the camera, I helped because I was and still is somewhat in their shoes. The most exciting part about what I do is the impact that I make on the Community and how I get to see their smiles, feel their love, and enjoy their progress with them. We’re not just a self funded non-profit organization, we are your happy place and your family.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Consistency Persistence
Strong will

I would tell others to never give up because of no support or no funding, if you are genuinely helping others everything will fall in place.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
One of the main challenges I’m facing is no brick and motar.
