We were lucky to catch up with Sherrelle Green/Jordan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sherrelle, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I’d honestly say my resilience comes from my own story and life experiences. Learning giving up, is never an option. Life teaches us a lot. As I may have experience anger, grief, or pain, when stress, adversity, or trauma arises, I learned to fully function in both a physical and psychological way. Just by being aware of situations and life circumstances. Mastering emotional intelligence helps in ways the norm wouldn’t understand. I am one of Solution, always looking to resolve an issue, small or big. Taking things not so personal will get you far on your journey of life.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am your License and Certified Life Purpose Spiritual Coach, however, everyone loves to put me in the category of a Personal Coach. (which is fine) I am Also a Ordained Youth Advocate(Minister). I’ve built a safe space for any one young or old to come to vent, gain clarity, or learn the importance of applying Self Love and Self Care on a daily basis, also how important it is to Heal and to face Childhood traum. I help guide everyone on Learning and finding their true purpose in life. I also provide the necessary spiritual guidance.
Most importantly I am advocating for the youth, as I help mentor in the community.
Being a Life Coach for Parent to Parent of GA gives me the opportunity to raise donations by utilizing my content on social media and also when customers make purchases on my website. I donate to the families in need along with my mentoring and sponsorship programs I have set up for the youth. I take the proceedings and give back to the community.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’d defiantly say marketing and networking is something to be very knowledgeable on, Due to how impactful it is to your business overall. Just because the so calls, and family members say they will support, do not count on them to do so. Learning your niche’ for your targeted audience is key. Being able to network outside your norm and connect with like minded people helps. Marketing the right way will impact your sells, and traffic to getting your merch or product out. Do not depending on anyone to do it for you. Learn all you can that fits what you have going on. Never copy others.
When you are first starting out, get rid of fear, and make sure what you are doing is more than a business to you but a passion.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, absolutely, always. I am manifesting more well rounded business, orientated, like minded individuals. Your vision do not have to be clear to me but having a passion to help and guide the community would be the intentions of connecting. examples: Back to school free giveaways, Brunch/ Luncheons/Speaking events/ parties to raise proceedings for fundraisers, etc
