Meet Sherri Shaw Morgan

We were lucky to catch up with Sherri Shaw Morgan recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherri Shaw, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.

Now that depends on which type of risk you are talking about.

As a child I only feared one thing, my Dad. At the ripe old age of 14, I lost my respect for him. That resulted my me losing my fear of him too. After that I became a bit of a dare devil. If the thing that instilled the fear was something I no longer feared, there was nothing left to fear. I took risks, but they were more sky diving and other adrenaline inducing activities.

Then their are the risks related to building that life you want and heading down an unfamiliar road to your life’s mission, with everything to lose. I held a “comfortable” job. One that allowed me to take small risks but never the big one’s that the comfortable job couldn’t support. Then the job was no longer comfortable. The Universe had been telling me for a few years my time there was up. I held on. I didn’t have the confidence in myself following my mission. How would I pay the bills? What would happen? What if I failed? What if I didn’t know how? The Universe decided to put me in discomfort to get me moving. Still not knowing the answer to all those questions, I jumped. Jumped straight off what felt like a cliff. I literally walked around dazed for about 6 weeks before I got going on all the things I needed to do to not be homeless in 3 months.

Those 3 months came and went and somehow I was making it, with no outside support. Well, except for the Universe. It provided. I had what I needed and still in my home. I started to believe in me, my abilities and my mission. I may have been going without a lot of things, but I was making it. I took more risky steps. Success came. Another risky step. More success.

The more I stepped out of my comfort zone the more supported I became. I developed my ability to take risks by taking them and seeing the outcome. By following inspired action and seeing my success also built my self-confidence which in turn, gave me more courage to take more risks.

It’s like going to the gym to get in shape. You may think it’s a waste of time at first, then you see those biceps getting a little bump, and it motivates you to do another rep, lift a heavier weight and make sure you are back in a few days to do it all again.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Sherri Shaw Morgan, a Ancestral Healing Coach, Shaman, Akashic Librarian and Certified Forest Therapy Practitioner. I help people understand that they are powerful creators of their lives. Through my practice, Wild Soul Rising LLC, I guide individuals on a transformative journey, breaking free from the chains of the past and reclaiming their personal power. My work centers around teaching others how healing from life’s traumas can be extremely life changing. I also teach how to connecting deeply with nature, how to heal their lineage, and tap into the wisdom of the Akashic Records.

What excites me most about my work is witnessing the profound healing that takes place when people reconnect with nature, their ancestors, and especial their true selves. I offer a range of services from Akashic Record readings and house blessings to individual and group healing sessions focused on ancestral trauma and patterns and gathering back those soul pieces lost in traumas from this life and past lives. Forest bathing is also at the heart of what I do, as I believe trees and nature hold immense healing power.

Right now, I’m particularly excited about my Ancestral Alchemy 6-Week Program, which delves into ancestral healing and transformation. It’s a guided journey where participants work through ancestral trauma, reclaim their ancestral gifts, and experience deep soul healing. With weekly calls, guided meditations, rituals, and journaling practices, this program offers a rich, immersive experience.

I feel so blessed to be part of this work, and I invite anyone who feels drawn to healing of self, healing with nature or ancestral healing to connect with me and explore the transformative power that’s available to all of us.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, intuition, and a deep connection to nature. These have not only shaped my personal growth but also the way I guide others in their healing journeys.

Resilience was key in overcoming my own challenges, especially moments of deep personal transformation. It’s the ability to keep going when things get tough, to rise again, and to trust that there’s always a way through. For those starting their journey, cultivating resilience is about embracing discomfort as part of growth. Each challenge brings a lesson, and the more we embrace that, the stronger we become. I have definitely needed to embrace many challenges and I am better for it!

Intuition has been a guiding light for me, especially as a Shaman and healer. Learning to trust your inner voice is vital in any spiritual practice. For those early on their path, I recommend spending time in stillness, whether through meditation, journaling, or time in nature, to strengthen that inner knowing. The more you tune in, the clearer it becomes. What ever activity you decided to do, being present in those moments is key to it all.

Finally, my connection to nature has been both healing and a source of profound wisdom. Nature is a powerful teacher, and through practices like forest bathing, I’ve learned that nature holds space for us to heal. For anyone beginning their journey, I encourage you to spend more time outdoors, connecting with the elements. Nature has the ability to ground us, to remind us of our true essence, and to offer insights that transcend the ordinary. See it, smell it, hear it, touch it, feel it, experience it!

My advice is to be patient with yourself. Growth takes time, and these qualities develop through lived experience. Trust your journey, honor your intuition, and don’t be afraid to get your hands (or feet) on the earth!

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who is ready to step into their own power and embrace healing on a deep, soulful level, even if that seems a bit scary at the moment. They are often women who feel a strong pull toward transformation but may be unsure where to begin or how to break free from the patterns that are holding them back. They’ve likely experienced trauma, ancestral wounds, or limiting beliefs that keep them stuck, and they’re ready to do the work to release those chains.

An ideal client for me is someone who is open-minded and willing to explore beyond the ordinary, whether through connecting with nature, working with the Akashic Records, or diving deep into ancestral healing. They don’t have to know exactly what they need, but they’re willing to trust the process and lean into the journey, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I work best with those who are spiritually curious and feel drawn to nature, ritual, and healing practices that honor the wisdom of the earth and our ancestors. They are seekers, looking for deeper meaning in their lives, and they understand that healing requires commitment, self-reflection, and a willingness to face both light and shadow.

Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who knows that there’s more to life than what they’ve been experiencing and is ready to reclaim their power and freedom.
