We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sherry Kear. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sherry below.
Hi Sherry , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
I think my optimism stems or comes from my purpose. I believe I was meant to motivate /pep people up and give them a change of perspective. I’ve been told It just comes naturally.
Realize the strength they didn’t know they had. Sometimes it’s through entertaining. More often it’s just being empathetic and tuned into the energy around you. I’m good at reading a person & the energy in the room. The only thing we actually have control of is our optimism and our confidence! I just don’t like or want negative energy to have the upper hand, ya know.
It divides us.
We are more powerful than we think. The laws of attraction are real. Thoughts become things.
I keep this in mind and make it my mantra…. Every day may not be a good day but there IS GOOD in EVERY day. And I do believe IN every one.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
You know there are moments or waves in life when you have to pinch yourself to make sure it’s real.
Ya don’t want to pinch too hard though for fear of waking up.
Well…I’m riding a few of those waves right now.
I am proud to say that I am a Life Is Good Brand Ambassador. I love their positive messages & optimism.
I dig being a character actress/Voice Over artist.
Have to say I am beside myself with Joy! LOL. I’m honestly Extremely excited.
I find myself in two entirely different series. They’re polar opposites of each other.
One I play a Head Vampire.
In fact
We JUST had a wonderful premiere for it.
It’s called “After Them” starring Txunamy Ortiz. It just dropped 1Jun on LoveXO YouTube channel. Be sure to check it out.
The second series called “Cut Color & Blow Me” where I play a novelist is in proof of concept and looking for a network.
I’ve a fantasy feature film where I play a child eating witch is in post, the auditions are flowing in and you kind folks have asked for an interview.
So to say that I am grateful is an understatement.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Passion, Determination and improvement.
Without passion what’s the point.
If you love what you do you never “work” a day in your life. FIND you Ikigai! YOUR purpose.
Being determined to follow your dream and achieve your goals no matter the obstacles.
We need to challenge ourselves to grow & to hone our skills, to improve and to be the person our dogs think we are.
A B C’s! Always Be Creating! Don’t wait for a gig or an opportunity! MAKE THEM! Put yourself out there. Make mistakes and learn from them. Take chances.
Be true to yourself.
Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. That’s NEVER healthy
There will be similarities but as a whole YOUR journey is unique to you.
It is alright to ask for help & get advice so you can make the best choices for yourself. Life is about choices and owning those choices.
Most importantly…be grateful, be kind, optimistic and helpful. Try to move the needle in a positive direction for yourself and others. Try to leave a legacy you can be proud of.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Our series “Cut Color and Blow Me” written and created by Aimee DuFresne is in search of a network. She has 2 whole seasons ready to go!
We have a proof of Concept in post and would love to pitch this to Netflix, Amazon, Roku, Apple +…
We can’t wait for an audience to fall in love with these characters as much as we have.
This is a comedy about Stacie Grey who moves to Palm Springs, Ca from Michigan to start over with calm, but working for 3 gay guys in a hair salon, her life becomes noisier than ever.
Think of a modern Mary Tyler Moore meets Palm Springs.
Reach out if any producer type , creative ideas and connections.
