Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sierra Hall. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Sierra , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Honestly, my resilience comes from purpose. Music has always been my therapy, and it taught me how to turn pain into something meaningful. Every playlist I build, every review I write, every artist I connect with reminds me of how far I’ve come. I’ve gone through real healing and had to rebuild my confidence, but this work keeps me grounded. Helping artists shine and creating space for authentic music fuels me. My strength comes from knowing I’m walking in what I’m called to do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a music curator, writer, and creative entrepreneur who’s passionate about shining a light on authentic artistry. I started out as a singer, but over time I found my true calling in curating music and storytelling, helping people discover sounds and artists that deserve more recognition. That’s what led to the creation of Playlist Girl, my brand built around music discovery, reviews, and community.
What makes what I do special is the intention behind it. I don’t just post songs, I create experiences that connect people to emotion, culture, and real artistry. I love being that bridge between underground talent and listeners who crave something genuine. It’s about amplifying voices that might otherwise go unheard.
Beyond curating, I’m also the co-founder of Uncovered Culture, a creative direction and production brand I run with my sisters. Together, we help artists and businesses bring their visions to life through styling, visuals, and storytelling. Right now, I’m expanding the Playlist Girl brand to include events, vinyl experiences, and ultimately a record-store and juice-bar hybrid that merges music, wellness, and community.
Everything I do ties back to purpose, creating spaces for creativity and connection.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been authenticity, consistency, and emotional intelligence.
Authenticity has always been the foundation of everything I do. In music and content creation, people can tell when something is genuine. Staying true to my voice and taste has helped me build trust with my audience and connect with artists in a real way. My advice for anyone starting out is to lean into what makes you different because that’s your power.
Consistency is what turns passion into progress. There were times I didn’t see the results right away, but showing up anyway made all the difference. Whether it’s posting regularly, refining your craft, or building relationships, the work you put in behind the scenes always shows up later.
And lastly, emotional intelligence has helped me navigate people and purpose. This industry can be unpredictable, but learning how to set boundaries, communicate clearly, and stay grounded has kept me aligned. My advice is to take care of your mental and emotional health as much as your creative goals since that balance is what sustains you long term.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced recently has been navigating community and support while growing in my field. Sometimes, when people see you progressing, it can shift the dynamic, not always out of malice, but out of comparison or misunderstanding. It can be hard when your growth changes how others relate to you.
But I’ve learned to look at that through a positive lens. Growth will naturally reveal who’s meant to grow with you and who isn’t, and that clarity is a blessing. Instead of focusing on what’s lost, I’ve focused on nurturing genuine connections and building a community that thrives on mutual support, not competition. I remind myself that what’s for me will never pass me by, and the right people will always celebrate your wins as their own.
That shift in mindset has been freeing. It’s helped me stay grateful, keep my peace, and continue leading with love and purpose no matter what.
