Meet Simi Rush

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Simi Rush a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Simi , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

Being the only one in the room that looks like me has taught me the power of authenticity. I’ve learned that building a brand rooted in honesty and integrity allows people to connect with me beyond appearances. I don’t shy away from who I am—instead, I lean into it. My identity, my story, and my perspective are not obstacles, but differentiators that set me apart.

I’ve also found that openness invites understanding. I welcome curious questions and see them as opportunities to build bridges, not walls. People may not always remember every detail of what you say, but they will always remember how you made them feel. That’s why I carry myself with honesty, integrity, and confidence in every interaction.

At the end of the day, being different is my asset. It makes me memorable, it keeps me authentic, and it reminds me to always show up as the truest version of myself.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As a real estate professional, I see my role as so much more than buying and selling homes—I’m helping people build wealth and security through a diverse real estate portfolio. What excites me most is that real estate isn’t just about today’s transaction; it’s about creating a strategy that aligns with my clients’ long-term goals and setting them on a clear path toward financial growth.

Education and empowerment are the heart of my brand. I believe that when clients are given the right tools, resources, and up-to-date market insights, they can make informed decisions with confidence. That transparency and guidance are what make me stand out—I’m not just here to close a deal, I’m here to build a lasting partnership.

Every client’s journey is unique, and by really listening and understanding their vision, I’m able to craft tailored strategies that turn dreams into reality. Whether it’s a first home, an investment property, or preparing to scale into something new, my focus is always on integrity, strategy, and empowerment.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue expanding the ways I can educate and support clients—through workshops, resources, and one-on-one consultations—so they feel empowered not just to buy property, but to build wealth for generations.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey:

1. Integrity & Authenticity – Staying true to who I am and leading with honesty has built trust with clients and colleagues alike. Real estate is about relationships, and people can sense when you’re genuine. My advice: don’t try to fit into someone else’s mold—lean into your story, your perspective, and your values. That’s what makes you memorable.

2. Education & Market Knowledge – The real estate world is always evolving, and staying ahead of trends, tools, and data has been key to helping clients make confident decisions. For those starting out, commit to being a lifelong learner. Read daily, ask questions, and never stop sharpening your expertise.

3. Listening & Strategy – Understanding a client’s true goals—sometimes even beyond what they say out loud—allows me to create a strategy that serves them long-term. For newcomers, practice active listening and patience. When you focus on hearing people fully, you can craft solutions that go beyond the immediate transaction.

My advice to anyone early in their journey is to remember that skills will grow with time, but your character and commitment to showing up authentically are what will set you apart from day one.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Attorneys of all types. especially trust attorneys. Wealth managers who understand the option for diversification to the real estate market. Estate Attorneys who need realtors to add to their clients wills/ trusts. Developers looking to partner with a savvy agent (me)!
