We were lucky to catch up with Simo Rodriguez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Simo, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose wasn’t easy. It came through a lot of heartache, self-discovery, and honest reflection. For a long time, I battled imposter syndrome, reactivity, and offense. But over time, God helped me see that every experience, from childhood to now, was shaping me for the calling on my life.
One of the biggest turning points was learning to take responsibility for my decisions, my patterns, and even the things I allowed in my life. I had to acknowledge my part, not to shame myself, but to free myself. That process allowed me to forgive others, forgive myself, and finally move forward.
In my darkest moments, I turned to the Word of God. Scripture helped me rediscover who I truly am and what I’m capable of. I realized my experiences were not wasted, they were a testimony meant to help others grow into who God has called them to be. When I embraced that truth, my purpose became clear.
As a woman, I’ve faced pressures, expectations, and struggles that tried to define me. But God’s Word showed me a different identity: resilient, powerful, and intentionally created. That revelation empowered me to share my story, my healing, and my journey so others could find theirs.
My purpose was discovered through understanding God’s Word, deep soul-searching, accountability, and acceptance. Today, I walk confidently knowing I can truly do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That boldness allows me not only to define who I am, but to help others rise into who they are called to be as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I wear a few different hats, but everything I do centers around helping people grow in faith, identity, and purpose. I’m a ministry leader, author, prophetic voice, and the founder of Do It Fearfully, a Kingdom movement that empowers people to walk boldly in who God called them to be.
What makes my work special is that it’s not about building a brand, it’s about building people. Every assignment God has given me, whether it’s writing, ministry, fitness, or mentorship, has one common mission: to transform lives through transparency, testimony, and truth. I don’t just teach from a place of knowledge; I teach from lived experience. I’ve walked through rejection, broken confidence, premature menopause, leadership challenges, and spiritual warfare, and God turned every one of those battles into a blueprint for others.
The most exciting part is seeing how God takes the areas I once struggled in, identity, worth, consistency, confidence, and uses them as tools to set others free. That’s what makes my work different: it’s personal, prophetic, and purpose-driven.
As for what’s new—there is a lot happening.
* I’m relaunched my 40-day devotional, Reclaiming Your Worth with a new title that really speaks to what it actually is: Transformed By Truth.
* I’m working on a Christian Dance Fitness program which will launch on YouTube and a membership platform soon.
* And I’m developing a full mentorship curriculum for those who feel called to walk boldly in their God-given identity un the Do It fearfully Mantle..
Everything I’m doing right now is part of a larger Kingdom assignment. God has made it clear that Do It Fearfully is not just apparel or content, it’s a mantle. It’s a commissioning for those who are ready to step into purpose, shed fear, and live out the fullness of what God placed inside them.
What I want people to know most is this: I’m not building a brand, I’m building bold believers. And whether it’s through ministry, writing, fitness, or prophetic mentorship, my greatest joy is watching God awaken purpose in the lives of His people.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
That is a such a great question. Looking back, three qualities were the most impactful in my journey: self-awareness, obedience to God, and resilience. Each one shaped the way I lead, create, and walk in purpose.
1. Self-Awareness
Learning to truly see myself, both the strengths God gave me and the areas that needed growth, was life-changing. For a long time, I operated out of hurt, survival, and assumptions. But once I became self-aware, I could take responsibility for my reactions, patterns, and decisions.
Advice: Slow down long enough to understand why you do what you do. Journaling, prayer, and honest reflection will help you break cycles instead of repeating them. Self-awareness is the foundation of transformation.
2. Obedience to God
Purpose required me to trust God even when I didn’t feel ready. Obedience stretched me, refined me, and positioned me for opportunities I never would’ve stepped into on my own.
Advice: Start small. Obey God in the everyday instructions, praying consistently, managing your character, finishing what He told you to start. Obedience grows your confidence in hearing God and builds the discipline needed for your assignment.
3. Resilience
There were moments when circumstances, rejection, or spiritual warfare could’ve stopped me. But resilience kept me moving. It reminded me that purpose is not about perfection; it’s about persistence.
Advice: Strengthen your spirit by staying in the Word, strengthen your mind by renewing your thoughts, and strengthen your emotions by giving yourself grace. Resilience isn’t a personality trait, it’s a muscle you build through pressure and prayer.
For anyone early in their journey, my biggest encouragement is this: Don’t rush your process. Growth takes time, healing takes honesty, and purpose takes preparation. If you stay teachable, stay connected to God, and stay committed to becoming the best version of who He called you to be, your purpose will unfold right on time.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is someone who is ready for transformation, not just motivated to change, but willing to do the internal work required to grow. Whether I’m serving through ministry, mentorship, writing, or Do It Fearfully, the people who thrive with me are those who value authenticity, faith, and accountability.
Characteristics of my ideal client include:
* Teachable and open-hearted: They’re willing to be honest about where they are and open to guidance that challenges old patterns.
* Faith-driven or faith-curious: They desire a deeper relationship with God or feel drawn to spiritual growth, even if they’re still figuring things out.
* Committed to growth: They understand that transformation isn’t instant, it requires consistency, reflection, and responsibility.
* Resilient or ready to become resilient: Even if they feel broken or discouraged, they show up with a willingness to rebuild.
* Transparent and ready to be real: They want a safe space to unpack the hard things, identity struggles, confidence issues, emotional wounds, spiritual stagnation and grow beyond them.
Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who senses that there’s more inside of them and is ready to pursue it. They may not have the language for their purpose yet, but they feel the pull. They may feel unseen, misunderstood, or stuck, but they’re ready to step into clarity, confidence, and calling.
Whether they come through a devotional, mentorship, fitness program, or faith-based coaching, the people I serve best are those who are ready to walk boldly in who God created them to be, and are willing to partner with God and do the work to get there.
