Meet Simona Dimov

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Simona Dimov. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Simona, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
I would rather say I try to pull from a perspective of kindness. But to answer the question if I could be considered that, it would come from being in tune with the good and human side of yourself. I learned true generosity when I would give without expecting anything in return and without having to consider myself good. You’re generous when you have no ulterior motive to be giving.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am currently working on finishing up my musical album and writing a couple stories for the screen. I feel like I found something that is so true and real to myself that I think people will understand it and relate to it. I can’t wait to add visuals to all of the songs that I crafted over the past 12 months for my upcoming project. All I hope for is that people enjoy it and relate, my album has a story arc that starts at a high point of emotions and implements a rollercoaster of happenings throughout.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I learned to be absolutely sincere in what I do. Love is the most impactful quality that I have and refined.
Lastly I have been adaptable.

I truly believe that if you come from a perspective of love rather than desperation or eagerness any kind of project will turn out beautifully.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents partially raised my like a man or at least with the mindset of what a man would be from their understanding. They made me independent, hard working, disciplined, ambitious, problem solving and taught me love and self worth. They always made me feel like I could do anything and that there are no limits for me, I didn’t even realize how difficult it could be to be a woman in a heavily male dominated world because they never told me a girl couldn’t do something a boy could which is something other female friends of mine had to here. Actually quite the opposite, they made me feel like I could do more than any man ever could and I am insanely grateful for that.
