Meet Slurrty TV

We were lucky to catch up with Slurrty TV recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Slurrty, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

Before I got into podcasting, I was a musician. I started off as a producer, then got into rapping and engineering. In my career I dropped 50+ songs and promoted them to not the greatest results, however I was ALWAYS CONSISTENT. Some creators fall off because they don’t see the instant gratification from others immediately and stop creating. I was able to stay consistent when I didn’t have much motion in music. I have alot of motion with my brand, Bad Bitches Only, and carry the same work ethic I had in music. I’m not sure where it comes from, I am just wired different than most. I’m a truly creative person, I run my own show, creative direct, and have a budding clothing line. I want to get into photography next. I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do if I put my mind to it.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I currently run a brand called, Bad Bitches Only. I had a show called F-Boy Chronicles which I shot with some friends. I invited a hookah girl I met at a party. She came to do my show and come to find out she worked in nightlife. My show was already wild but introducing nightlife took it to the next level. It was still called F-Boy Chronicles at the time and I wanted to make a name change to Bad Bitches Only. I was nervous at first because some men and they way they think would have an issue going on a show called Bad Bitches Only. I asked a few male guests early on and they said they would have no issue doing the show. I changed the name April 2022 and created a logo myself and here we are now. I started a clothing line off the name and we have a music series coming soon.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Consistency, forward thinking, networking. You have to be consistent with your art and show your working on your craft via social media. There are alot of people out there who want to start creating something but the aesthetic has to be A1 to them and they are scared to start. Starting is the hardest part for alot and people need to get over that. You have to be forward thinking about what’s next in regards to your art and leveling up. I’m always thinking about the next move and how to improve. Networking is also very important. Networking will get you in doors money can’t.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am looking for help personally. I do 90% of the work to run this brand. I design clothes, edit videos, host, social media manage, run our youtube thumbnails, cast the guests and more. I need basically an assistant or someone who can help the youtube and clothing ideas/design. I can admit I have control issues. But the way I feel, why give someone a task they are not better than me at? That may lower my brand and I can’t have that. We’re not generating crazy money right now, but I treat this like it’s a billion dollar brand now because in the future it will be.
