Meet Snifflez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Snifflez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Snifflez, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
Over the years I have learned that no one can judge me besides myself. People will always have negativity to say especially when hiding behind a screen. If I see a negative comment I simply delete it. I truly love all the art I put out so if someone is hating on it that is just their opinion. It is okay if not everyone loves you, as long as you love yourself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Snifflez and I am a 22 year old Colombian-American musical artist. I have always loved singing since a little girl. At the age of 16, I was posting song covers on Instagram and my friend insisted on sending me a beat to write music. I then created my first song, which I posted on SoundCloud. I decided to go by the name lilsniffle influenced by the SoundCloud era but recently changed it to Snifflez. The nickname Snifflez is because I am very emotional and my song lyrics are heavily influenced by feelings. My music is a fusion of R&B, trap, and pop with melodic tones and distorted 808s. I have performed in shows all throughout South Florida opening for Kodak Black, Rod Wave, and Moneybagg Yo. I recently dropped a song called “Dopamine” along with music video. This year I plan on dropping more singles, and if all goes right an EP.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that were the most impactful in my journey were perseverance, self-love, and confidence. Without any of these qualities I would have given up a long time ago. Making music is all about staying focused and dedicated. If I do not believe in myself, no one will. The best advice I have for people early in their journey is to not be afraid. Confidence radiates to others and if you are shy about your talent, no one will listen. Do not let people get to you and always stay grounded with loved ones. If you are on the right path and work hard, good things will come.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
I would say the number one challenge I am currently facing is staying focused. Trying to drop musics consistently while going to school, working, and being an adult is hard. As an independent artist, so much work goes into releasing a single. Between cover art, studio sessions, and music videos it is very costly. It is so easy to get swept away by every day struggles. I am constantly working hard to balance my schedule and making sure I do activities to boost my creativity!
