Hi Sofia, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from no one other than my parents. For many years Ive seen how hard they worked to gain a life they loved and I always wanted the same for myself but knew I had to work hard to earn it and I have. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am today. It was not easy as I was a teen mom so I have felt I have had to work extra hard to get ahead in life due to obstacles that come with being a teen mom but with hard work, supportive husband and parents, I have made a beautiful life for myself and my family.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a self taught baker and specialize in beautifully decorated deserts that are too pretty to eat and taste as good as they look for all events big or small! We strive in providing not just a product but an experience when you order from us. We have really gotten to know our costumers and have built such great relationships with them over the years and see them more as friends and that alone has been impactful!
We have also branched out to offering subscription boxes that are filled with one of a kind homemade desserts delivered right to your door each month! You can also get our sweets in store at Screws and Sparkles in Down town buckeye! Its a stop you must make if you are ever in the area. Many plans to grow even more! This is just the beginning.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The 3 most important qualities I have found that were the most impactful in my journey was Persistence, being consistent, and remaining humble through it all regardless of the outcomes. Being Persistent and consistent have really helped in the growth of my journey and in myself as a person as well. It has gotten me far in life to not listen or shine any light to the negativity that can come with ones journey. There will be many obstacles and even people that will try to get in the way of your goal but one must stay focused with the eye on the prize, always. You will be amazed how far you can go with your goals and dreams when you focus and silent the outside noise. Let your success be the noise.
Along the way when your hard work starts to pay off always remember to remain humble. This more than anything.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents have done for me is simply, They believed in me. When you have people who believe in you and cheer you on along your journey it makes the biggest difference. It has lit a fire in me that I hope never goes out. I want to continue to make them proud along with myself. The push that they give me even when I feel or have felt like giving up has helped me tremendously. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for them, who continuing to push me and believe in me.
