Meet Solange Kolie

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Solange Kolie a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Solange, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Through personal experience, I’ve discovered that self-improvement is key to building confidence. As I invested in expanding my knowledge and skills, I found that my self-assurance grew proportionally. This journey has taught me that continuous learning not only broadens one’s understanding but also significantly boosts confidence in one’s abilities.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My work focuses on providing comprehensive financial education to empower individuals in managing their personal finances. Through a holistic approach, I guide clients towards three primary objectives: achieving debt freedom, establishing proper financial protection, and attaining financial independence.

What I find most invigorating about my role is the universal impact of financial literacy. Money influences every aspect of our lives, and by imparting knowledge and fostering understanding, I help people gain confidence in their financial decisions. This newfound assurance often translates into expanded choices, greater freedom, and enhanced peace of mind for my clients.

Being an integral part of this transformative process is deeply fulfilling. As an educator in this field, I take pride in furnishing valuable information and support, ultimately contributing to my clients’ financial well-being and overall life satisfaction.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The most profound lesson I’ve learned in life is the power of desire, consistency, and relentless pursuit of one’s goals, all while maintaining a positive mindset throughout the journey.

For those at the beginning of their path, my advice is this: Define your goals with clarity. Identify your purpose and what you truly desire in life. Once you’ve mobilized these aspirations, you’ll begin to notice opportunities presenting themselves, guiding you towards your intended destination.
Success requires dedication and unwavering consistency. It’s through persistent effort that the pieces begin to align, propelling you towards your purpose. Remember, the path to achieving your goals is rarely linear, but with determination and a positive attitude, you can navigate the challenges and reach your full potential.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My journey to success has been significantly influenced by numerous individuals who have played pivotal roles in my personal and professional development.
First and foremost, my mother has been an invaluable role model, providing both educational guidance and unwavering support. In the realm of financial literacy, Mark Miller served as a mentor who broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the financial literacyfield.
I’ve also been fortunate to work with exceptional business coaches who have shaped my professional growth. Nancy Korsah, Tephanie Delany, and Ian Prukner have each contributed unique insights and strategies that have been instrumental in my progress.
Moreover, I’ve drawn inspiration from many influential Black women whose achievements and resilience have profoundly impacted my life and career trajectory. Their examples have been a constant source of motivation and empowerment.
The collective wisdom, support, and guidance from these individuals have been integral to my personal and professional journey, shaping me into the person I am today.
