Meet Soo Lee

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Soo Lee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Soo, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my parents. I grew up in an immigrant household where both parents worked. My parents immigrated from South Korea in the 80’s to America not knowing the culture or language. That did not stop them from providing and giving their family a better opportunity. Through the hard times, I always resort back to what my parents have gone through and that gives me the resilience to keep going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
With five years of industry experience and two years as a successful business owner, I am a hairstylist, makeup artist, and entrepreneur. Specializing in hair color and personalized looks, I am dedicated to helping every client feel confident and empowered. My mission is to create a safe environment where individuals can embrace their unique beauty. Through my work, I strive to reveal and enhance the inherent beauty of each person.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A strong work ethic, patience, and a positive mindset have been pivotal to my journey. Overcoming challenges and maintaining resilience are crucial aspects of upholding a good work ethic. It is never easy, but perseverance is essential. Patience was a quality I had to learn. Understanding that goals and success require time and dedication has taught me to appreciate the process rather than rushing through it. Having a positive mindset has had a profound impact on my life. Even during the most challenging times, maintaining positivity has helped me overcome obstacles. I believe that both the good and the bad occurrences happen for a reason, serving as valuable lessons.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I highly recommend “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. This book delves into the power of manifestation, guiding readers on how to shape their lives according to their desires by putting in the necessary work and cultivating belief. It has taught me gratitude, a shift toward a positive mindset, and much more.
