Meet Sophie Delcoure

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sophie Delcoure a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Sophie, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is almost impossible to “get over”, but the key to keeping it at bay is purely confidence. You must know yourself and trust yourself in order to trust what you do and what you’re marketing and providing. For me, it was evolving my confidence from being an “excellent student” to a “capable teacher and practitioner”. This takes patience, understanding, loving self-talk, and working through any negative self-talk. Working through negative self-talk takes compassion and grace, first and foremost, just as you would give to a loving friend who’s experiencing self-doubt. You must honor those negative thoughts and doubts that surfaced and be grateful! Yes, that sounds crazy at first glance. But the truth is surfacing negativity exposes what you need to internally work on, which means it’s giving you the opportunity to heal more of your insecurities and negativities and at a deeper level. Heal those insecurities, heal those fears! But the only way to do that is to recognize them and honor that they exist in the first place. Only then can you work through and accept imposter syndrome is nothing more than a moment of human fear that can simply be overcome by reminding yourself of who you are and holding a strong belief in your capabilities and what you offer.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Like many, I’m a human being who has experienced trauma and hardships throughout my life, including severe physical complications, not just mental and emotional issues. I got to a point that I recognized how much healing I truly needed and conventional modalities were not enough. I happened upon Reiki, and ended up going full swing into energy healing after experiencing the overwhelmingly effective benefits of the practice, and then continued to learn more alternative healing modalities that I can now bring to the world.

Now, I am a Holy Fire III Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, a Seraphim Blueprint Energy Practitioner, a Chakra and Crystal Healer, a Universal Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor, and a Psychic Medium. What all of this means is I help people heal through alternative methods of energy healing, meditations, and spiritual communication. For some of us, traditional healing methods may not be enough, and seeking healing through these alternative avenues are the key to our healing journeys. The great news is the healing methods I use can help a client alleviate stress and blockages that may be causing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual issues through the use of special techniques that will allow the client’s own body and mind to heal themselves from the inside-out.

I am more than aware that some people think my field of work and love seems crazy, and that’s ok. It’s not for everyone. But those who experience these methods understand how beneficial they can be, even life-changing for some.

The type of work I do is unique as all energy and healing practitioners have the same goal: to help you heal yourself naturally and holistically in whatever ways you need an extra boost in. A client’s preference for a practitioner will be based on the connection they have, making the client-practitioner relationship extremely special and unique. My clients know they will receive everything they need in an energy or advisory session because of the connections we have. If you need relief, you’ll get relief. If you need energy, you’ll get energy. If you need joy, you’ll get joy. So on and so forth. It’s my job to ensure that every client is safe and progressing, while also being there in moments of set-backs. My metaphor for my work: “It’s a blessing to be able to hold your hand and walk with you on your healing journey. I am right here.”

What makes me different is that I will encourage you to not just openly receive healing energies, but I will encourage you to take care of your body, mind, emotions, and spirituality. Because, when one goes down, there is a domino-effect that occurs. We need to take care of all aspects. Every person is a whole person, whether you see it or not. And when someone doesn’t see it, it’s my job to walk with them until they do.

One wonderful benefit of my work is that I can do everything in-person or remotely, so I’m not restricted by proximity, anywhere in the world. If you are interested, all you need to do is reach out: where you’re located does not matter. I can even do my work without virtual connection, meaning I don’t even need to be on the phone with you to do what I need to do! The only exception to this would be any spiritual advisory sessions or guided meditations. For those two, it requires listening or conversation, so at least a phone call or text is needed! This flexibility also allows me to provide services in ways that best suit each client, rather than requiring a specific setting and communication style that may not be comfortable for all clients.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I can naturally connect to the unseen life-giving energies that are around all of us, whether others recognize those energies or not. This is absolutely key to what I do. Energy is the name of the game!

I have an intuitive empathic nature, which allows me to deeply understand my clients when they are seeking a healing session or spiritual advisory. I can connect to each person uniquely and love them unconditionally. We are all humans trying to live happy lives as best we can, and we need each other to do that. So, here I am.

I have a natural way of speaking and teaching others about aspects in life, including helping those struggling with seeing the “bigger picture”. No fancy-speak needed over here! Because, again, we’re all humans trying to simply live. I’m not going to put on a show for you. I will speak honestly, plainly, and in a way that you can make sense of, every single time.

I am so pleased that I’ve come to a point where I can now share this with the world, not just privately with my friends or family. We all deserve to share our gifts and this is how I can give back to the world: by giving me to you.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

This is kind of funny because it’s simply learning technology! How to record and edit videos, the best way to use social media platforms, and all while “keeping it real”, since I’m not into putting on a show. I’m here to be honest and helpful. To encourage you to be your best self in all aspects of life. So, I’m learning how to do that through our modern communication platforms and learning while in action!
