Sowedhi Uthman, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience through facing each day as an opportunity to play a role in the transformation of my community. Through what I do and believe in.
This is done through turning my ideas into reality with purpose. Solving problems with practical solutions
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
In 2022, I thought about creating safe spaces for sharing experience especially for travellers, spaces that are cozy and elegant but also safe. We designed with artistic feel. Embedded with nature by use of regenerative materials for sustainability construction models.
I established glamping space called Mandari Eco Pods, an accomodation facility listed on online booking spaces where travelers can book their staycation and stay for both short and long vacations, it caters for Family, groups and solo adventures.
While at these spaces, one gets to enjoy activities on and off the space, even across within the community, like trails, runs, visiting of local tourism sites among others. At the space one can enjoy bonfire, BBQ , a creative performance or indulge in indoor board games.
I wanted to change the experience of sleeping while on holiday, where one is home away from home. But also we have further expanded into designing and offering construction services to clients looking forward to create great homes and cozy spaces.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The key qualities have been persistence, the ability to tap into the creative mind, as well as consistency
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Am looking forward for collaboration and partnership, investors so we can scale the concept across boarders and beyond. To take this model to the rest of the world.
