We recently connected with Stacey Wallenstein and have shared our conversation below.
Stacey, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
Much like everything else in life I believe in the KISS method. Keep It Simple… I love talking walks – usually with a friend – and enjoying a little gossip + exercise and benefitting from all of the above, plus fresh air!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Stacey Wallenstein is the New York based mom of three behind the parenting, lifestyle, travel, beauty and food blog and channel The Mint Chip Mama.
Stacey was picked as a NY Metro Parent Influencer to watch, and nominated as the Best Blog on Long Island in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Before becoming a full-time mom in 2010, Stacey spent a decade as a high-end customer relationship management (CRM) professional managing customer loyalty programs for some of the most well-known brands including Harrah’s Entertainment, Chanel and Christian Dior.
Stacey is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and holds a Masters in Psychology from The New School.
With all of the accomplishments above she’s the happiest hiking with her family, getting a massage, snuggling on the couch with her kids or listening to 80s pop. She loves dark chocolate, tacos, and glassblowing.
The Mint Chip Mama has been featured in The NY Post, Psychology Today, NY Metro Parents, NY Family, Parents Magazine, Newsday, News 12, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt: Kids, NerdWallet, Big Apple Kids Guide, and more!
The Mint Chip Mama was also nominated as one of the Top 20 New York Mom Blogs & Websites, and one of the Top 100 Mom Lifestyle Blogs on the web, one of the 10 Best Long Island Mom Blogs and Websites, and one of the Top 40 Funny Mom Influencers!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think you have to believe in yourself.
Put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.
Stop complaining and just do it.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m always looking to partner with brands and companies who want an authentic and organic voice to represent them and share their message with the world.
Additionally, I’m looking to be a guest on podcasts so if anything in my bio meshes with your podcast, please reach out!
