Meet Stacey Zamani

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stacey Zamani. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Stacey, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My children are the fighting force behind everything I have done so far. Every goal and every accomplishment, I always keep them in mind. My life has changed so much in the last few years for the better good and I’ve been able to adapt thanks to an amazing support system like my godfathers James and Delfin and of course my aunts Maritza and Ada. I truly value their wisdom in life since they’ve been through so much. I’m truly a believer of honoring your elders and learning from them even in the smallest of life lessons we can find answers since no one person knows everything, Remaining teachable in all situations of life is where we find success.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a baker by profession but prefer to be called a Cake Artist. I truly value bringing every clients vision to life for their special event. I try not to place myself in a single category when it comes to my work so even if may have some creative limits I always strive to outdo what I know I’m capable of. At the moment, I’m currently working on adding more items to my menu and specializing in weddings or larger events.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Practicing even in the smallest ways is super helpful. You can’t perfect everything overnight so giving yourself grace is important as well. Being patient and taking the time to research is imperative. Nobody will give you all the answers to what you should do, and even if someone does I feel as I work better by trial and error. You really have to keep in mind that no journey is the same for anyone, so I can learn from so many amazing bakers or confectionary artists in the industry but if I don’t do the work I can’t succeed.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The most important quality my parents taught me is to be independent. Something so simple, I know. But it has helped me so much on my journey in life and in business. No matter what life throws at me I know I can handle it. I may not have all the answers but I’ll figure it out.
