Meet Stacy Boland

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stacy Boland a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Stacy , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Like many of you, I know profound loss not as a concept, but as a shattering reality. In my early twenties, the unexpected death of my first love and the father of my six-year-old son, Bryce, shattered my world—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I was left adrift, consumed by the devastating questions: How could a loving God allow such pain? How could my young son grow up without his father?

Years later, the sudden passing of my own father, Gerald, triggered emotional wounds I thought I’d healed. That second unexpected loss was my breaking point, forcing a re-evaluation of my life. I walked away from a successful corporate career and embarked on an intense, cross-country quest for answers. I dove headfirst into metaphysical and shamanic teachings and life experiences, seeking not just solace, but also tangible proof of an afterlife.

That relentless search for meaning didn’t just transform my life; it awakened my clair senses and psychic abilities. My grief became the catalyst for a profound spiritual awakening, giving me a newfound meaning and purpose. I now channel this unique gift into all my work—from my Healing My Heartbreak Retreats and books like Pennies From Heaven and the Transforming Grief workbook, to the upcoming Heartbreak Alchemist.

My mission is to help you connect with the powerful, continuous energy of your loved ones in the afterlife. I guide you to release whatever is blocking that vital communication. The confirmation that they are still with us, and that love is truly eternal, is the most profound gift I can offer.

My purpose is to help you recover faster and healthier, reclaiming years of peace and joy in the process.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Like many, I followed the corporate path until a double tragedy forced me to stop and listen to my soul. My life first fractured in September 2004 with the sudden loss of my first love and my son’s father, Tim. With a six-year-old son to guide, I found the strength to carry on. But when I unexpectedly lost my father, Gerald, in November 2019, the emotional weight became too heavy to bear in a traditional career.

The pain sparked a radical re-evaluation. I walked away from my corporate life and embarked on a dedicated, cross-country immersion into healing. I sought wisdom wherever I could find it, studying metaphysical and shamanic teachings. This intense, transformative quest reshaped my understanding of life’s deepest connections and gave me the unique spiritual and energetic knowledge I use today to help others heal their own heartbreak.

After navigating my own intense pain, I channeled my deep desire to help others heal into Healing My Heartbreak Services & Retreats. I offer a sanctuary for transforming grief, heartbreak, and trauma, hosting personalized private and small-group healing retreats in the serene landscapes of San Diego, California, and Sedona, Arizona. When guests arrive there is a charcuterie board and a lot of loving waiting. Everybody is encouraged to leave their phones in their rooms, grab their journal, and that evening they share their stories of heartbreak and grief. We have guests who have experienced the loss of a dear loved one, whether it be a husband, child, sister, brother or parent – a beloved pet, divorce, or significant breakup.

The time spent at our intimate Healing My Heartbreak Retreats is equivalent to six months of one-to-one therapy—experienced in a safe, immersive, and accelerated environment.

Our retreats are a sanctuary for women seeking profound change. Guests engage in transformative work, gaining immediate clarity while building an essential toolbox of energetic and practical skills. They learn powerful new methods like sound healing and energetic balancing, all while reconnecting with the restorative power of nature. Yet, the true magic is the community: witnessing and holding space for each other’s journeys. Guests depart feeling deeply lighter, revitalized, and fully equipped for the road ahead.

Studies show that, on average, people suffer between five to eight years if they choose to wait to seek help for deep grief and trauma. My team and I believe that is too long. With the right support and a spiritual framework, we help clients recover faster and healthier, reclaiming years of peace and joy in the process.

I’m very passionate about empowering women, getting them back in touch with themselves and their inner peace. We can’t take the pain away. however, we can put somebody in a different position, where they can focus on themselves, their healing, well-being, and support each other. As a certified Reiki Practitioner, I integrate energy work with my natural psychic and spiritual awareness, providing deeply personalized support to guide clients through life’s most challenging moments.

I’m thrilled to be expanding this transformative work beyond the retreat setting with my new guided workbook, The Heartbreak Alchemist. This is the highly anticipated second segment in the Transforming Grief series. It provides a comprehensive framework—blending practical psychological exercises with deep spiritual insight—that gives you the structured space to reclaim your power, move past heartbreak, and emerge with lasting peace.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, my journey from profound grief to becoming the founder of Healing My Heartbreak Services & Retreats was driven by three essential pillars—qualities and skills that I had to develop or unearth within myself.

1) Radical Acceptance of the Unknown

When tragedy hit, I initially fought the pain, the injustice, and the absence of certainty. The most impactful shift came when I surrendered the need to know why and simply accepted the mystery of the loss and the spiritual universe. This acceptance created a vacuum that allowed deeper truths to enter. It’s what opened me up to the metaphysical studies and the shamanic teachings.

Advice for the Beginner: Stop fighting the reality of your current pain. This doesn’t mean you have to like it, however you must stop resisting it. Start with a daily practice of saying, ‘I accept this feeling is here right now.’ Acceptance is not resignation; it is the ultimate surrender that gives you back your power.

2) Fearless Spiritual Curiosity (My Quest)

Leaving my corporate career and embarking on a cross-country quest was a decision fueled by a relentless curiosity—a hunger for tangible proof of an afterlife and deeper meaning. This curiosity forced me out of my comfort zone, leading me to study everything from energy work to psychic development. This is what ultimately awakened my clair senses.

Advice for the Beginner: Give yourself permission to follow the nudges, no matter how ‘woo-woo’ they seem. If you feel drawn to a certain book, meditation, or teacher, follow that impulse. That curiosity is your intuition guiding you toward your own unique healing modality. Don’t let fear of judgment block your spiritual path.

3) The Discipline of Energy Work

While the psychic abilities were an awakening, the ability to effectively translate those insights into healing for others comes from the discipline of energy work—specifically my practice as a certified Reiki Practitioner. This skill provided the practical framework to move stagnant grief and trauma, allowing both myself and my clients to literally feel “lighter” after a session. This blend of intuitive knowing and structured energy work is the signature of my brand.

Advice for the Beginner: Healing is a practice, not a destination. Even if you start with just five minutes a day, commit to a grounding ritual. Learn the basics of how energy works in the body. Start with simple breathwork or visualization to move emotional energy. Your ‘toolbox’ will be your survival kit, so make time to learn how to use the tools.

In closing, I believe that we are the most important project we will ever work on.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months has been successfully translating the intimate power of my retreats into scalable, accessible tools.

For years, the transformation offered by Healing My Heartbreak Retreats was limited to the women who could travel to Mexico, Sedona, or San Diego for an accelerated, intense experience.

The growth wasn’t just about launching the new guided workbook, Transforming Grief; it was about the rigorous process of codifying and structuring the profound energetic and spiritual work I do into a clear, comprehensive guide that is accessible to all: https://healingmyheartbreak.com/books

This forced me to step into a new level of brand authority. I had to articulate the blend of my Reiki practice and psychic insight in a way that’s immediately applicable to a reader on their own.

This shift allows me to support thousands of people who can’t attend a retreat right now, exponentially expanding the reach of our core philosophy: that we don’t just move past heartbreak—we transform it.
