Meet Stacyann Evans

We recently connected with Stacyann Evans and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacyann, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

I believe in being generous one has to be compassionate. Being able to see the needs of others and put yourself in their positions.
There are persons in this life that has gone through or is going situations that are unbearable. These persons are looking for someone to recognize that they are in need of care.
I have learnt that in order to show generosity to others, I must be able to be kind to myself first, connect with yourself in ways no one will be able to.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Stacyann Evans. I am a mother of three beautiful children. Among being a certified Practical Nurse, Data Entry Clerk and Receptionist, I am also a self-published author.

My present aim is to own other businesses as well as pursue a writing career. I have many dreams and goals. I do not believe that one should limit themselves. It is possible as long as your mind can conceive it. That said I am aiming towards my dreams and goals. Being able to multitask has played and continue to play a vital part of me maneuvering my daily life.

I presently work as a Receptionist in a diagnostic centre. Where from day to day I do my best to assist patients in getting various exams done. It is most pleasurable to know that at the end of the day I could have helped someone in one way or another.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three most important qualities that has taken me this far would be : Determination, desire and consistency.

For those who are starting out or you have gotten to a place where you may feel like you are having second thoughts, I advice you to remember your first desire, your first enthusiasm. Recall what drove to start in the first place. Try to analyze what could have gone wrong and try to address it as best as possible. When you have found what that is do all the work to improve, adjust or make corrections if needs be.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am most definitely looking for people to collaborate with. Preferably so persons who has the desire to help others in whatever way they can.
It is my desire to reach as many people as possible in this life. That said I have written my first book sharing some of my life experiences. Not many people are willing to share what they are going through because they may be afraid that they will be judged in some way.
I want people to know they are not alone. That someone else has been where they are.

I would like to collaborate with other writers, publishers, any non-profitable organization that will assist in shaping persons in society.
