Meet Stanley Fletcher

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stanley Fletcher. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Stanley, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism comes from a combination of faith, purpose, and perspective. First and foremost, my faith in God gives me a foundation of hope and trust that everything happens for a reason, even when the path forward isn’t clear. It reminds me that challenges are opportunities in disguise, and that perseverance will always lead to growth.

Secondly, my sense of purpose fuels my optimism. When I think about the vision for SlamBall and the impact it can have—not just as a sport, but as a movement—it keeps me motivated. Knowing that what we’re building has the potential to inspire and bring people together gives me a reason to keep pushing forward, even when faced with obstacles.

Lastly, perspective plays a huge role. I’ve faced challenges and setbacks, but I’ve learned to view them as stepping stones rather than roadblocks. Every experience, good or bad, has taught me something valuable. That perspective keeps me grounded and hopeful that the best is always yet to come.

Optimism, to me, isn’t about ignoring the difficulties—it’s about believing that with faith, hard work, and the right mindset, we can overcome them and achieve something incredible.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

In the high-octane world of SlamBall, every day is a make-or-break moment. It’s a relentless test of our faith in ourselves and the dedication we’ve poured into this sport, company, and brand. At the heart of it all lies an unshakeable faith in God and a commitment to discipline, as we strive to overcome every hurdle in our path.

Who else but a few visionaries would dare to create a new sport like SlamBall? In a world where few new sports endure, SlamBall stands resilient, second only to Power Slap in its meteoric rise, even amidst America’s challenging economic landscape. Building a company is tough; building a new sport is tougher. Our dream is to see SlamBall courts in trampoline parks across America, making the sport accessible to everyone. Yet, our greatest concern isn’t financial—it’s safety. Ensuring the safety of players and maintaining strict training protocols is paramount. Over the past decade, we’ve meticulously developed a training program to teach SlamBall safely. As we prepare to launch our franchise model, we’re searching for partners who share our commitment to safety and excellence. SlamBall propels players 15-20 feet into the air, demanding a mastery of unique reflexes and techniques. Without proper training, the risks are too great. We believe the right partners are out there, ready to join us in this exciting journey.

From a simple idea sketched on a napkin, SlamBall has evolved into a rapidly growing sport. Our journey began with makeshift equipment forming the first SlamBall half-court, leading to our pilot shot in East LA and our initial TV deal with Spike TV. Since then, we’ve gained representation from IMG, one of the world’s largest sports marketing companies. We’ve expanded internationally, establishing a grassroots model in China, where five universities have embraced SlamBall as part of their sports curriculum. Now, SlamBall has returned to the U.S., hosting our Series 6 tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. With numerous tours and tournaments on the horizon, 2025 promises to be an exciting year as we prepare to unveil more thrilling news.

SlamBall is currently the fastest-growing sport on social media, boasting over 50 million views across platforms in just the last 30 days—and that’s without being in season. We’re eager to bring the game back to the court, continuing to captivate audiences with fresh content. This momentum is paving the way for a massive following and turnout as we prepare to launch our first SlamBall center.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Reflecting on my journey with SlamBall, three key elements stand out as particularly impactful: resilience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of team dynamics.

**Resilience:** The path to building SlamBall was fraught with challenges and setbacks. Resilience was crucial in pushing through tough times and maintaining faith in our vision. For those starting their journey, I recommend embracing challenges as opportunities to grow. Cultivate a mindset that views setbacks as temporary and learn from each experience. Surround yourself with a supportive network that encourages perseverance.

**Adaptability:** The ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances was vital. Whether it was adjusting our strategies or embracing new technologies, staying flexible allowed us to navigate the evolving landscape of sports and entertainment. For newcomers, I advise staying open to change and continuously learning. Keep an eye on industry trends and be willing to pivot when necessary. Adaptability will keep you relevant and innovative.

**Understanding Team Dynamics:** Building a successful sport like SlamBall required a cohesive team that shared the same vision. Understanding team dynamics and fostering a collaborative environment were essential. For those early in their journey, focus on developing strong communication skills and empathy. Recognize the strengths of your team members and leverage them to achieve common goals. A united team is a powerful force in overcoming challenges.

By focusing on these qualities, anyone can build a solid foundation for success in their endeavors. Remember, the journey is just as important as the destination, so embrace every moment and keep pushing forward.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely, we’re always on the lookout for passionate individuals and organizations to partner or collaborate with. As SlamBall continues to grow, we’re particularly interested in connecting with those who share our vision for innovation, safety, and community engagement.

We’re seeking partners who are as enthusiastic about the sport as we are—whether you’re in the sports industry, a brand looking to engage with a dynamic audience, or an entrepreneur with creative ideas to expand SlamBall’s reach. We’re also eager to collaborate with safety experts and training professionals to ensure our sport continues to be enjoyed safely by all participants.
