Meet Star M. Pryor

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Star M. Pryor. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Star M., thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

Being the only one who looks like me in certain situations has been a learning experience that’s taught me to appreciate my own uniqueness. I’ve come to realize that my perspective can offer fresh insights, and I’m dedicated to achieving success while humbly demonstrating that everyone’s contributions matter, regardless of appearance.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My system set-ups are essential for businesses to stay organized and deliver a consistent and reliable experience for their clients. I work with women entrepreneurs from a diverse range of industries to streamline their processes, save time and energy, and ultimately grow their businesses.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
To those starting out, stay curious, seek guidance, refine skills, and remember, the lessons learned from established entrepreneurs are golden nuggets of wisdom that can guide you. And above all, persevere through challenges – that’s where true growth happens.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Looking back on the last year, it’s truly been an amazing journey of growth for my business. Three things really made a difference: teaming up with other awesome entrepreneurs, building real connections in my community, and just putting in the work consistently and passionately every single day. The true power lies in collaboration. By working together and supporting one another, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone.
