Starr , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I think people always look at the things that are blocking their way and see it as too insurmountable. I see things in my way as a learning curve, I do research on whatever it is that is ahead of me, then go to those who has been there before and see where there are possible loopholes or means to getting around those obstacles. Once you understand why that blockage or obstacle was placed there you usally are able to figure out a way that makes everyone feel comfortable by adapting to what is needed or required and making it fit yiour needs and voila, there you are you have aligned the obstacles in a manner that makes you get what you wish. At least thats how I have solved most difficult things that, for instance, what New York City requires to be legal in every way.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Rev. Starr RavenHawk, is a Trini-Canadian transplant, who is a Witch, High Priestess, High Magician & Theologist, with over 40 years’ experience. She has lectured at Universities, Colleges, Festivals & Conferences Nationally & Internationally on many forms and traditions of WitchCraft. She currently resides in New York City.
She is the Founder and Creatress of the degreed Witchcraft program at WFT Academy Of Pagan Studies the first Witch School in New York City. The NYC Wiccan Family Temple, the first Witch Temple in New York City licensed to Ordain High Priests & Priestesses as Reverends. And the annual event WitchsFest USA – A Pagan St. Faire in New York City.
Creatress of the Journey To the Realm of the Underworld Mysteries designed to be a therapeutically magickal regressive journey. And the CEO of CharmedByStarr.store – an online store specializing in handcrafted, hand designed items for individuals with decerning taste.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I learned who I was, coming into my own on myself as a Witch, as a person that had something to offer the community at large. I am open minded to a wide variety of practices. Which made me combine many things and come up with my own Solitary Practice personal to me and if it helps others that makes me happy.

My advice is, to learn to be open and receptive to new ideas, thoughts and ways of being.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

I think the number one obstacle or challenge is to get more of the community involved in taking WitchsFest USA to the next level we all know it can be. We need help and we do not always get the help needed. Despite the fact that we run the event, it is on such a grand scale with so many moving parts to it to pull it of, help will always be needed.

It would be nice to have more people of varying ages and levels to help and participate more, making it a community achievement and to finally get it to make an actual profit from it.
