Meet Stefani Beckerman

We were lucky to catch up with Stefani Beckerman recently and have shared our conversation below.

Stefani, we are so appreciative of you taking the time to open up about the extremely important, albeit personal, topic of mental health. Can you talk to us about your journey and how you were able to overcome the challenges related to mental issues? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

Honestly, I feel like my ability to break through mental and emotional barriers began with a choice. A decision I made at an early age to know, trust and believe there was a way to transcend the pain. I just knew there was a way to feel better, and I trusted that if I could see the root of the problem I could shift it. I’ve been committed to this path for a long time. Willing to see whatever I needed, devoted to taking responsibility for my own well-being, curious about discovering the core and my totality with a mission to learn how to love and accept my whole self. I’ve been blessed with the gift of developing a very strong toolkit –  books, methods, practitioners and a community of mentors, friends, family who have supported me relentlessly along the way. Thank God for all of my earth angels who have always had my back, believed in me even when I didn’t, kept showing up even when I resisted, and never let go of me. Took nearly 20 years, a shitstorm of chaos, and a few abrasive falls down the rabbit hole – but with consistency and commitment I found the balance and inner peace I always knew was possible – and anyone else can too. I believe the inner journey is the key. As we go inward and reconnect to the core of who we really are, we uncover blockages and saboteurs and get to undo destructive patterns that can keep us stuck and cause harm to ourselves and others. From there, we can choose new thoughts, beliefs and perspectives that are useful, empowering, and support the highest good of all so that we can all live happier and healthier lives together.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My intention is to use what I’ve learned to serve people on the path of growth, to live happier and healthier lives easily and quickly so we move closer together instead of further apart and ultimately all live more well together. (Feel like time for that?!)

I started in Hollywood at Brillstein Entertainment Partners, became excited about the digital brand space while on the talent side and in yoga teacher training, and then left to be the 4th employee at Thrive Market where I learned how to build, launch, and scale a unicorn brand. There I was part of building our influencer program that was responsible for our growth to 4MM users in under 2 years without any paid spend. I’ve been developing brands ever since.

I’m passionate about healing and writing a book called, Let Go Or Be Dragged: The Art of Getting Unstuck. It’s a set of spiritual and practical tools to befriend trauma, break through barriers, and transform one’s life from the inside out for the highest good of all.

I struggled in life for a long time and didn’t feel safe in my own experience. I had some shitty things happen to me and I kept hitting the same walls in every area of my life. While I’ve always had a happy baseline, I felt a chronic undercurrent of depression that often caused me to self-sabotage, blow everything up and spiral down just when I was about to soar. And even when traumatic events would occur, I couldn’t help but wonder, did I somehow call that stuff in? I did always believe there was something inside of me that could be adjusted towards a better experience, a solution to feeling better on a cellular level and doing things differently that led to a more peaceful and joyful experience.

On the corporate side – with over 10 years in marketing, strategy and entrepreneurship I have grown brands in strategy, consumer engagement, and creative development. I’m a mentor for Creative Futures Collective – an organization dedicated to breaking systemic inequality – and a frequent contributor to Poosh, MindBodyGreen, & Thrive Global. After Thrive Market I launched my own boutique brand advisory, was head of Consumer Engagement for Nutraceutical, and now head up Brand & Community at Ozlo Sleep.

On the wellness side – I believe global healing and peace requires a commitment to consciousness from every individual. I love to use my positive energy to help people feel safe and optimistic about this journey to effect change. As we are able to identify blocks we can clear stuck energies, integrate new awareness, and embody a different way of being. From this place we let go of the toxic stuff and become one with who we really are – unconditional love. From this place, we heal – internally and externally, individually and collectively.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’m a connector so building relationships has always come very naturally to me. Nurturing relationships is valuable for our soul and ultimately people want to work with people they love, trust and have fun with. I believe that if you focus on building community organically and follow what feels right for you it will always lead you in the right direction.

I’m an empath and extremely intuitive, which are both qualities I recognize as gifts, NOW. Took me a long time to get there and a lot of diluting my own power to understand how to work with both in positive ways. Focus on learning who you really are, and what YOU choose to think and believe independently from what you’ve been told – taught – or are hearing from others. Learn to listen to your intuitive guidance no matter what. Prioritize this, it’s your empowerment. And then, trust it fully 19,382,749,832,743% of the time – no matter what.

I’m a free spirit and definitely have my own way of doing things. This has led me to successes in my career because I see things differently and am unafraid to take risks and color outside the lines. When I’ve doubted myself and stifled my authenticity is when I’ve experienced some of my most troubled times. I say, BE WHO YOU ARE and KNOW that is enough.
