We were lucky to catch up with Steffini Hardaway recently and have shared our conversation below.
Steffini, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
We do not settle in with one particular product; even if it is a hit! We strive to keep things new, keep people guessing, keep people anticipating! This is how we remain creative!
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Well, I bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. I’m excited to grow my business and learn more about my business. I’m also an Advanced student that will be having more products coming out soon!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Learning to be resilient because, some things don’t always work out, Being organized and on time is always good because it shows that you care about other people time and you are professional. Don’t wait until the last day; do your work a few days ahead of time because you do not do your best work while rushing.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Well, sometimes you just need to take a break from everyone, take some time to think and get your thoughts together then come back and try again.
