Steph The , thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
My generosity stems from a deep-rooted empathy for the underdog. Growing up, I often found myself in that very position, which gave me a unique perspective on the challenges faced by those who are marginalized. This personal experience ignited a passion in me to uplift others who are in similar situations. It’s this heartfelt desire to make a difference that led me to establish my non-profit organization. Through this endeavor, I aim to provide support and resources to low-income individuals and the elderly, ensuring they receive the care and opportunities they deserve.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My brand has been my top priority for the last ten years, and it reflects my commitment to integrity, pride, self-discipline, love, respect, and, most importantly, trust. I have always been passionate about helping people and demonstrating that there are still wonderful, compassionate individuals in the world. Under the name Steph The Tax Lady, I’ve built a brand that embodies these values, offering reliable and empathetic tax services and education to my clients. However, the endeavor closest to my heart is my non-profit organization, Community First Help Center. This organization is my favorite because it allows me to connect with and support amazing individuals who are truly in need. Through Community First Help Center, I have the privilege of meeting incredible people from all walks of life. The work we do is incredibly fulfilling, as we provide essential resources and assistance to low-income individuals and the elderly, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive.
In the near future, we have some exciting developments planned. We’re launching new programs aimed at expanding our outreach and impact, including community workshops and resource drives. These initiatives are designed to further our mission of uplifting those in need and fostering a sense of community. Overall, what excites me most about my work is the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, showing them that there is always hope and help available. I am committed to continuing this journey, driven by the values that have guided me from the beginning.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are perseverance, continuous learning, and compassion.
Perseverance: This quality helped me stay focused and resilient, even when faced with challenges and setbacks. It’s important to keep moving forward, no matter how difficult things may seem. For those starting their journey, remember that progress is often slow but steady. Stay committed to your goals and don’t be discouraged by obstacles.
Continuous Learning: Gaining extensive knowledge about my craft was crucial. Education and skill development are foundational to success. I recommend that you invest time in learning everything you can about your field. This not only enhances your expertise but also keeps you adaptable and innovative. Attend workshops, take courses, read extensively, and stay curious.
Compassion: Helping others selflessly has been a guiding principle in my journey. Treating people kindly and offering assistance without expecting anything in return builds strong, trusting relationships and creates a positive impact. For those starting out, always remember the power of kindness. It will not only enrich the lives of others but also bring fulfillment and purpose to your own life.
My advice for those early in their journey is to go at your own pace and avoid comparing your progress to others. Focus on continuous education and skill development. Save and manage your finances wisely to ensure stability and growth. Above all, treat people kindly and help others whenever you can. These principles will guide you towards a successful and fulfilling journey.
