We recently connected with Stephanie Fugazzi and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I think my resilience started when I became a mom at 19. Being a single mom to two amazing kids has taught me how to adapt, stay grounded, and push forward even when life feels overwhelming.
In my career, I’ve faced countless moments of failure and made my share of mistakes, but those moments have been my greatest teachers. Each setback has shown me how to problem-solve, grow, and approach challenges differently the next time. Resilience, for me, is about showing up, learning from the hard moments, and trusting that every misstep is part of the journey to success.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I love showing people that you can come from any beginning and go wherever you want to go. I get joy from helping others believe in themselves, so if sharing my challenges/hardships and still continuing to make strides and progress can inspire someone, then it’s all worth it. As a hairstylist, I get to make people feel beautiful, connect with them, and understand their stories—all while creating art. It’s a special career it’s about celebrating individuality, showing people the beauty they haven’t seen and lifting spirits.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Trying is the first step—nothing happens without action. Failing is where the real lessons come from, and it’s how I’ve grown the most. Learning is the constant process that keeps me evolving. And authenticity is what sets you apart; you can’t stand out if you’re trying to blend in.
For anyone starting out, focus on trying, learning from any mistakes, and staying true to yourself—don’t let the fear of failure keep you from your dreams.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always focused on elevating my creativity! I would love to collaborate with people who are exploring ideas I haven’t worked on before or who bring a fresh, unique vision to the table. Whether it’s editorial looks for magazines, TV commercials, or something entirely new, I’m excited to push boundaries and create something extraordinary together!
