Meet Stephanie Gonzalez

We recently connected with Stephanie Gonzalez and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Stephanie with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Coming to the USA at the age of 13 knowing no English wasn’t easy. The countless sleepless nights trying to finish the simplest homework assignments next to an English-Spanish dictionaries are still engraved in my head. I had to do it though… it was the only way I could make sure my mother and I would have a better future. Back in Mexico my mother worked from 6am to 10pm. Upon her arrival home, she ensured that my homework was completed and if i had failed to complete it or do it right, she would not hesitate to wake me up and have me corrected. This might sound harsh for an 8-year-old kid, but that quickly taught me to do things right the first time.
After a couple years living in the USA, I no longer wanted to live in someone’s garage, sharing the same bed with my mother and crossing someone’s living room to use the restroom. Thankfully my mother believed that my education would “set us free”. So, I took 7 classes in high school, stayed for afterschool programs, participated in 4 different sports and became president of several clubs. Surely, my efforts did not go unnoticed, teachers recognized my resilience and facilitated the path for me to succeed. It was the most satisfactory feeling when I was accepted to UCLA as a biology major with a full ride scholarship.
I have my mother to thank for the example she gave me as a young child to work hard, check things twice, take your time so things come out right the first time, and to desire better way of living.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Sincerity. Love. Compassion. In a world where images speak louder than words and words can become so precise, you imagine it and I create it. My brand is about giving a voice to those who are silent. A voice to those who help those around them. My brand is about showing the love and compassion that a business gives to the community with sincerity.
My goal is help expand and enhance the online presence of a business that likes to help those around it. I currently work with a non-profit that harness wellness through dance, a company that helps with mental wellbeing and several more that focus on making the community better.
What most excites me about my brand is that I get to help people, and that I get to bring a fun/positive perspective to the world of social media.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As clique as this will sound; perseverance, problem solving, and people skills are the most important skills I possess that made me successful in what I do. Perseverance is super straight forward, right? yup, just don’t give up! starting on your own will have lots of ups and downs downs, but whole point is that you get back up. It is a clique because it’s true. You’ll feel like giving up several time, or get ‘imposter’ syndrome, but just know that you are doing this for your future self and there is no better time to start than now.

Problem solving: ooohhh yesssss! problem solving on the spot! You’ll be faced with the most stressful problem-solving situations ever! but thats ok! there is no problem that cannon be solve, so just breath and look for resources. When in doubt google it! haha i swear! We are not reinventing the wheel, someone has gone through this before, so look for advice, ask for help, there are so many resources out there, (and most of the time there’s a free version, you’ll see what I’m talking about haha).

People Skillzzz: this is what will get you clients/customers and referrals. Sales and Marketing are a huge part in any industry. You gotta know your audience and know how to reach them, how to bond with them, how to attract them. Thus, having people skills is crucial. However, be yourself, even if you are shy, loud, geeky, serious, etc. just show your personality and the right type of people will come around. Might take some time but it’ll happen. I am super social, which helps me a lot when finding new clients or to connect people. The people that my clients target I sometimes already know, so i can target them directly, or at least get my clients on the right path.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Am I looking to partner up/collaborate? YES! I am in a place where I need to start scaling up (good problem to have). I need help…
I am looking for individuals that are self-motivated, creative, responsible and ambitious. If you are looking to start a side hussle with someone that will keep you accountable, work with meeee!
You can email me at [email protected]

Looking for all types of people, content creators, tech savvy, people person, admin, video editors, sales, etc… i can also teach you. You just have to have the motivation to learn and to do things on your own.
