The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
In the scenario of being the only one in the room who looks like me, I have cultivated effectiveness and success by embracing my uniqueness. Building connections with others based on mutual understanding and respect has also been crucial in fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Additionally, maintaining a confident and open-minded approach allows me to navigate challenges and showcase the strengths that come with my individuality.

My name is Stephanie Green, Momprenuer, Balloon Stylist, Content Creator, and the author of 4 journals and 1 book available on Amazon. I am passionate about curating unique balloon designs and creating engaging content. What excites me most about my work is the ability to bring joy and creativity into people’s lives through my balloon artistry. As a Momprenuer, I find fulfillment in balancing the demands of entrepreneurship and motherhood. As a Balloon Stylist, I bring a distinctive touch to events, turning ordinary spaces into vibrant and enchanting atmospheres. My journey as a Content Creator allows me to share my creative process, tips, and inspirations with a broader audience, fostering a community around my brand. As for what’s new, I’m thrilled to announce upcoming events that showcase the versatility of my balloon creations. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back at my journey as a balloon artist, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge stand out as particularly impactful:
*Being teachable and staying curious and committed to learning. Balloon art is an evolving field, and staying updated on new techniques, materials, and trends will keep your work fresh and exciting. It’s essential to push the boundaries of traditional balloon designs, experiment with new ideas, and find unique ways to captivate audiences. I constantly seek inspiration from various sources, attend workshops, and practice new techniques regularly.
Building a strong network and community within the balloon art industry has played a significant role as well. I collaborated with fellow artists, attended industry events, and joined online communities. Which opened doors to opportunities, collaborations, and shared knowledge.
Also, I sought out mentorship by connecting with experienced balloon artists who provided guidance and insights. Learning from someone with hands-on experience can help navigate challenges and accelerate your growth. I also invested in a coach.
By focusing on creativity, networking, both online and offline, mentorship and a commitment to continuous learning, individuals early in their balloon art journey can position themselves for long-term success and fulfillment.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
In the past 12 months, my most significant area of growth has been in both my personal and professional life. One major milestone was moving my son and me into a comfortable home situated in a wonderful neighborhood. This transition not only enhanced our living environment but also brought a sense of stability and security to our lives. On the professional front, the decision to take a leap of faith and become a full-time entrepreneur and content creator marked a substantial risk. I’m navigating the process of understanding the world of being a content creator, expanding my creative horizons and I am working on building a more robust online presence. Navigating the dual roles of being a single mom and a full-time entrepreneur has been a transformative experience. It has taught me valuable lessons in time management, resilience, and the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Embracing this growth has not only strengthened my professional capabilities but has also positively impacted my personal life, creating a blend of fulfillment in both realms.
As I reflect on the past 12 months, I am grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and the continuous journey of self-improvement. This period of growth has instilled in me a sense of confidence and determination to pursue my passions and aspirations, both as a devoted parent and a thriving entrepreneur/content creator.
