We recently connected with Stephanie Hopkins and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My near-death experience sparked a journey to rediscover my life’s purpose. On July 17, 2021, I faced my toughest battle yet, fighting against the relentless grip of COVID-19 coupled with pneumonia. After several agonizing days in the hospital, I was discharged with a plethora of regimen medications, home oxygen therapy, and the need for home health services. Weakened, vulnerable, stripped of my voice, confidence, and mental clarity, I endured months of recovery, struggling with the lingering effects of the illness.
In the quiet solitude of my confinement, with only my thoughts for company, I discovered a meaningful truth: personal growth often requires periods of isolation. This time alone became a powerful turning point for self-reflection and spiritual awakening. I came to understand that embracing God’s purpose for my life meant letting go of my own preferences and preconceptions. This period of seclusion, though challenging, ultimately encouraged personal development and deepened my spiritual understanding.
As I slowly regained my strength, I began to see my experience not as a setback, but as an opportunity for transformation. I understood that this challenge was preparing me for a greater purpose. With renewed determination and faith, I set out to recreate my narrative.
Through perseverance and firm belief in my potential, I became a licensed Title Agent in Florida. This achievement paved the way for me to establish Blaque Wall Street Title LLC. This accomplishment represents more than just a personal triumph over adversity; it embodies my newfound purpose in life.
Today, I am dedicated to helping families unlock their dead capital and transform it into generational wealth, one title at a time. My journey serves as a testament to the transformative power of resilience and determination. I’ve learned that we should never underestimate our own strength. Each of us is born with a unique purpose and blessed with the power to achieve it.
My experience has taught me that sometimes, life’s greatest challenges are actually invitations to step into our true calling. By embracing the difficult moments and using them as opportunities for growth, we can uncover strengths we never knew we possessed and find a purpose greater than we ever imagined.

I am a multifaceted professional with over two decades of experience across various sectors of the insurance industry. My rich background fuels my passion for empowering others and driving positive change. As the founder of Blaque Wall Street Title LLC, a pioneering minority-owned title agency, I specialize in Probate and Residential Heir Property closings. Our mission is twofold: to open doors to generational wealth for families, and to preserve family legacies through strategic estate planning. My innovative approach tackles wealth disparities, ensuring that family assets are protected and passed down effectively through generations.
I’m a contributing author to the groundbreaking anthology “Money TALK$: Uncut Convos with Financial Experts on How to Grow, Leverage and Protect Your Assets.” This collaborative work brings together 24 accomplished Black financial thought-leaders, revolutionizing financial education for BIPOC families and small business owners. My contribution draws from my personal experiences and professional insights, focusing on property rights and building generational wealth.
Additionally, I founded the nonprofit organization Embracing Lyfe Development Inc., which focuses on three key areas: personal development, minimizing racial wealth disparities by plugging the wealth leakage with estate planning, and community empowerment. Through this initiative, we provide targeted resources and support to help individuals reach their full potential, build lasting financial stability, and enable seniors to age comfortably in their own homes.
As a polymath, I have learned to mastery stack and leverage my diverse skill set to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. I seamlessly integrate my expertise in real estate, financial literacy, and community development to create a powerful synergy. Whether it’s securing property rights through my title agency, sharing financial wisdom through my writing and speaking engagements, or fostering personal growth through my nonprofit work, each aspect of my professional life intertwines and amplifies the others. This comprehensive approach allows me to address complex societal challenges from multiple angles, contributing to a larger mission of empowerment and positive change. By continuously honing and connecting my various skills, I’m able to offer unique, holistic solutions that drive meaningful impact in communities and individuals’ lives.
I’m constantly seeking new ways to reach and help more people. I’ve been featured in YouTube interviews where I share my journey and discuss my work, offering a personal glimpse into the passion behind my various endeavors. My journey has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I’m excited to continue growing, learning, and finding innovative ways to serve my community and beyond, drawing on my diverse expertise to create lasting impact.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Embrace gradual transitions: Leverage transferable skills. Identify the skills you have developed in your previous career that can be applied to your new path. Highlighting these transferable skills can make your transition smoother and more compelling to potential clients. It may be helpful to make gradual transitions rather than abrupt changes. Consider taking on side projects, freelancing, or volunteering in your desired field while still working in your current job. This can provide valuable experience, build your network, and validate your interest in the new career.
Embrace failure as a valuable learning opportunity: Fail quickly and view failure as a “not yet moment” that is an essential part of entrepreneurship. Recognize that you won’t have all the answers—no one does, as situations are continually changing and evolving. Instead, perceive setbacks as chances to delve deeper into the subject, pivot, and foster personal growth. Learn from your mistakes, adjust your strategies, and continue progressing forward.
Embrace your support network: Surround yourself with a dedicated support network. Building a business can be overwhelming, so it is crucial to have a network of trusted advisors, and like-minded individuals who can provide guidance, support, and valuable insights.
Perseverance is key: Being an entrepreneur demands unwavering commitment, resilience, and a heartfelt enthusiasm for your work. To navigate the inevitable highs and lows of the entrepreneurial journey, it is advisable to seek the guidance of a seasoned mentor or coach who has personally experienced the ebbs and flows. Their wisdom and support will prove invaluable as you navigate the challenges ahead.
