Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Puchalla. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Stephanie, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My well of resilience is deeply rooted in a fundamental belief in myself. I’ve always recognized the profound significance of self-confidence; it serves as the bedrock preventing uncertainty from taking hold. We all grapple with patterns and beliefs ingrained in us during our formative years, making it crucial to shed those that don’t align with our true selves. Unshakable faith in our actions becomes a powerful propellant.
Resilience, to me, is not merely about bouncing back from setbacks but also about reframing them. Instead of immediately retreating in the face of failure, it’s vital to see it as an opportunity for learning and growth. Each experience, especially the challenging ones, is a lesson waiting to be embraced. The purpose behind each obstacle might not always be evident immediately, underscoring the importance of patience and trust.
I firmly believe that everything serves a purpose; one just needs to be open to recognizing it. Hence, resilience is not only about persistence but also about embracing the profound wisdom embedded in every experience.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
First and foremost, I identity myself as a musician. As a dramatic soprano and composer, I find passion and creative expression. I recently released my album, ‘Blurry Lights,’ a tender arrangement blending the emotive tones of cello and piano. Simplicity in chord progressions is my mission. In this simplicity, something philosophical is revealed, in my opinion. Often, it’s the simple things in life that touch us the most and have a lasting impact. They remind us that true beauty and meaning don’t always reside in complexity but in the clarity and purity that captivate us with their ease. I am overjoyed that these melodies are now embarking on a journey around the world. Another album, “Romantic Serenades,” is set to be released later this year. In my musical journey, I delve into themes of love and pain, interpreting works by composers like Donizetti and Tosti. My fondness for Romantic and classical music has been a constant in my life, and I am delighted to have retained this passion for classical music throughout the years. The journey of creativity is marked by constant self-reflection and the pursuit of perfection. We measure ourselves against our own standards and those of our role models. However, in this quest for excellence, there are pitfalls that make us doubt whether our works are good enough, whether they convey the significance we attribute to them. Moreover, creatives are called upon to bring their innermost emotions and thoughts into the world. Yet, in this act of revelation and expression, lies the vulnerability of our soul.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
ok, that sounds curios but: Believe in your day dreams. It’s so important because that’s how we converse with our subconscious. Keep your energy intact and by yourself. It’s challenging not to react to everything and everyone, but once you master that, you channel your energy purposefully toward your goals My second piece of advice is to always do something that scares you a little, something you wouldn’t think you’re capable of. Just go for it, dive in, even if you think it won’t amount to much-you have everything to gain. Many things are much easier than they seem, and once you’re in the process, much of it will flow effortlessly. You’ll find yourself thinking, “Hey, I didn’t expect that.” Having the courage to face failure and step into the unknown is the essence of growth.
Love yourself and become independent from the opinions of others; you’ll never satisfy everyone, as everyone has different tastes, which is entirely natural. Cultivate a positive mindset; it’s crucial to hold yourself in high regard, applaud your accomplishments, and acknowledge yourself-others will follow suit. Be kind to yourself.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book, “You Are the Placebo,” has truly been a wellspring of inspiration for me. It beautifully reinforces the idea that you have the potential to be anything and everything in this world, as long as you hold a clear vision of who you aspire to be. Everything unfolds at the perfect moment. Just as the creation of my compositions and the harmonious collaboration with fellow musicians-it’s a chain reaction where one positive element attracts another. It’s a gentle reminder that you receive what you radiate out into the world. Indeed, as Dr. Joe Dispenza aptly puts it, “Your personality creates your reality.” It’s a powerful reminder that our thoughts, intentions, and actions shape the world we experience. Embracing this concept allows us to navigate life with a conscious awareness of the profound impact our inner world has on our external circumstances.
