Meet Stephany Diaz

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephany Diaz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephany below.

Stephany, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
One of the times that I’ve felt most empowered in this industry is having experienced kindness, mentorship and patience from those I looked up to, leaders in the field. The willingness to offer their time and experience from my very first days in aesthetics to independence as a solo entrepreneur led to a newly born passion for mentorship myself. I’ve since felt so driven to be education focused and also, pay it forward. In this way, I continue to dedicate myself to changing the stigmas in aesthetic medicine. My ultimate goal is to help empower injectors & patients in their journey to confidence.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
What I’m most focused on in my career is being able to provide the most complete, warm and one-stop experience for anyone along the spectrum of their aesthetic journey. Helping the first-timer feel comfortable and empowered, while helping more experienced patients to reframe and redirect their mindset as the industry evolves. Misinformation and media can have so much power over us and what we believe. I’m dedicated to consistently providing accurate and science-backed information via social media platforms that are easy to follow, in order to make relevant & real information more popular.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Beyond my experience in corporate aesthetics, an experience that helped me transform into the business owner that I am today is the year that I was part of an MLM or virtual marketing organization. I learned things about myself that needed work in my day to day habits, patience, learning how to address things I cannot control, among other major personal development lessons. I also learned how to study people, listen attentively, lead, speak professionally among large audiences, organize my time and an infinite amount of other skills. Lastly, my skill in capturing content, editing and producing audience driven posts is all credited to this experience. The confidence and lifestyle changes have been monumental in how I manage my personal and professional life.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
The biggest area of growth this past year has been the ability to celebrate all wins and learn how to accept the grace of entrepreneurship and all that it brings. Learning how to express gratitude over being busy, versus complaining about being tired. Learning how to welcome balance into my life in slower seasons versus complaining that I’m not working enough. Knowing the value of each time someone chooses me as their injector or mentor. Detaching from income and surrendering to serving others in my best capacity. Being a student for life, celebrating others, letting go of comparison and not letting my ambition take me faster than I can keep up with. Improvement in self-awareness as a business owner and how it fits into my world as an injector, wife, sister, daughter, friend. Growth, but with grace.
