Meet Stephen Sainato

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephen Sainato. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephen below.

Stephen, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Our hearts’ desires are the voice of the Infinite, calling us to fulfill our highest destiny.

By the time I was 27 years-old, I felt withdrawn from life and was secretly battling depression and addiction. On December 11, 2011, I reached a turning when I crashed my car straight into a tree on someone’s front yard while driving intoxicated. It was around 2 am when the police arrived and placed me under arrest. The next morning, I sat with my face buried in my hands, crying uncontrollably. I felt ashamed, afraid, alone, and lost. How had I gone from being an inspired child filled with light to an lifeless adult suffering in darkness?

I made a decision that week to turn that crash into the best thing that had ever happened to me. I made a personal commitment to sobriety and healing. I started to learn about love, forgiveness, and service. I discovered the joy and power of community, and I began developing a relationship with a higher power. I felt a million times better and my dreams also began to resurface. I wanted to become a lawyer, so I took the LSAT and applied to Rutgers Law School, near my hometown, but they rejected my application for admission. I applied again the following year and got in. I was both thrilled and terrified—I felt proud of myself for the first time in a while, and I know law school would be a challenge unlike anything I had ever faced, especially given my academic struggles in the past with reading and writing courses.

During those three years of law school, I underwent one of the most profound transformations. I credit much of transformation to my morning routine, where I immersed myself with the energy and wisdom of inspiring speakers like Les Brown, Eric Thomas, and Wayne Dyer. I would listen to their videos during my morning car rides to law school. Their messages changed me on a fundamental level. I began to truly believe in myself for the first time, and I felt moved and inspired to awaken my greatness.

I sustained that state of mind and being for three years, and experienced a miracle: I graduated first in my entire class. I wept tears of deep gratitude in my car after the graduation ceremony and thanked God for saving my life and giving me another chance to live a good life. I practiced corporate law at one of the top firms in the world, making more money that I could have imagined possible, but after two years I had to come to grips with the realization that the law wasn’t for me. It was a hard pill to swallow. I think my life was set but I couldn’t tolerate the dread of work. I’m willing to make sacrifices for success but I’m not willing to sacrifice my happiness. My soul searching then began on a deeper level. Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose? How can I best serve others?

For years, I had been jotting down notes on my phone every time I felt a natural surge of joy—a collection of moments I called my “zone of fulfillment” that pointed me towards one-on-one service, helping others heal from their pain and fulfill their deepest callings. I fell in love with this work, realizing that our true purpose lies in healing our own pain, fears, and limitations while serving others with our unique gifts. This, I believe, is the way of miracles and the ultimate path to fulfillment. The profession that resonates most with me and aligns with my divine purpose is coaching.

In 2018, I left the legal profession altogether and transitioned into full-time coaching. It was a challenging journey, but I’m grateful I persevered, learning from the best and understanding exactly how to help others heal, evolve, and manifest their dreams. I’ve had the honor of touching millions of lives and coaching a diverse range of clients—from executives of billion-dollar companies and international athletic champions to multimillionaire entrepreneurs, climate activists, secret service agents, best-selling authors, lawyers, doctors, therapists, and coaches. I’ve experienced many miracles with many clients. They too have liberated themselves and created their version of heaven on Earth. Some have even healed physical concerns—one client’s eczema suddenly disappeared after working together for a few weeks. Another client is no longer taking anti-depressants after decades of regular use. Others have become millionaires, manifested soul mates, and discovered their purpose. I’m continuously amazed by what happens in a sacred space of created trust and commitment.

Today, conflicts between countries and within nations are at some of the highest levels we’ve seen in decades. Even more alarming is the fact that more people are addicted, homeless, and depressed than ever. Our collective consciousness makes this possible. Individuals have been suffering for a long time without the love, wisdom, and support to be truly happy and free. Together we form a collective consciousness that outwardly manifests the predominant internal state. In other words, the external chaos in the world reflects the internal chaos predominant within human consciousness—a heart-breaking display of ancient wisdom: “as within, so without.” The key to evolving the collective consciousness is to evolve ourselves. We must be willing to dive deep within our own hearts to heal and find peace, and we must generate the courage to manifest our hearts’ callings. This is the way to serve humanity.

We can end this cycle, not by fighting what is, but my leaning into what is possible and creating a new way of being that transcends it. It’s time for a spiritual evolution and that’s exactly why I am publishing a new book called The Way of Miracles: A New Spiritual Program For Anyone To Heal Emotional Pain, Elevate Their Consciousness, and Create Their True Desires. It’s essentially a new 12 step program but for everyone. I’m here to serve the awakening and contribute to the evolution of our collective consciousness as best as I can. I believe that a small number of healed, awakened, and aligned people is all we need to shift the entire world. I’m also leading a live 12-week course and deep coaching experience for a small group of beautiful souls to work through the steps together in a supportive community. And I now offer a one-day deep coaching certification training to spiritually oriented small businesses who want to offer coaching services to their customers. I am expanding my light and the spiritual evolution has begun.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Staying focused. Staying inspired. Having fun. These three qualities have helped me immeasurably.

Practicing high levels of focus for an extended period of time changes everything. Deep focus is akin to being profoundly present, which is the key to navigating challenges, expressing greatness, enjoying life, flow, and being One with the Universe. We can practice deep levels of focus at work, while listening to a friend or loved one, or while reading a book among many other possibilities.

Staying inspired generates a remarkably powerful energy that awakens and calls forth our greatest and truest expression. We become more confident, consistent, and powerful.

Having fun is the most important. The more I gave myself permission to have fun as a coach, the more miracles my clients experienced. I found a direct correlation between fun and results. Too much seriousness can create stress and fear. Having fun creates lightness, opens the space for authentic expression, profound breakthroughs, and surprising transformation.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Way of Mastery by Shanti Christos.

Here are a few diamonds of wisdom:

(1) We are powerful creators.
(2) Surrender is the highest use of the will.
(3) Forgiveness is the key to a peaceful heart.
(4) At our core lies pure innocence and love.
(5) Working on our consciousness is the most important work we could ever do.
(6) No one is worthy of our judgment and everyone is worthy of our love.
(7) Humility allows us to receive and share more Light.
(8) Challenges are divinely designed to help us heal, grow, and evolve into our highest expression.
(9) What’s meant for us, is already ours. No amount of setbacks of mistakes could ever stop it.
(10) The Ultimate Creation Code—Desire, Intention, Surrender, and Allowance—is how we consciously create, experience the deepest levels of joy, and contribute to the evolution of humanity. We connect with our true desires, intend to fulfill them, surrender our concerns about when or how, and allow Love to flow openly through our presence with inspired ideas that we act upon, one day at a time.
(11) Self-love is the answer.
