Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Steve Haddadin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Steve, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
Part of my self-care routine is going on walks, meditating, and exercising. This keeps me going as I unload during my walks and exercising routines and quiet my mind during meditation. When I get back to work, it is as if I begin anew every time. This is very effective and I highly recommend it. I also drink tea, many different teas on the market can aid in stress management. Visiting the beaches here in Southern California is also very effective, negative ions in beach air and near the ocean is linked to various health benefits such as stress reduction and improved mental well-being. Also, I aim to go on trips once or twice a year.
My effectiveness increases significantly after I engage in my self-care routine, every time I feel as if I begin anew. That feeling helps a lot with stepping on the gas pedal and accelerating in your work and getting things done.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a real estate attorney and broker in Orange County and Riverside County. I run a full-service brokerage out of Brea, CA. My brokerage does commercial and residential sales, better known as Resimercial. I specialize in asset protection, estate planning, and real estate law. Currently, I am invested in Riverside County, and I am working on some retail developments. I am able to connect with my clients at more of a personal level because I do what they do so it makes me relatable versus just a service provider.
My brand is all about the client experience. I guide them every step of the way and I use various means of helping them make informed decisions. This is part of my company slogan of being “A Full Service Real Estate Company”. I feel very excited and special about it because this was what motivated me to start my own brokerage. When I was learning how the industry worked, I noticed that most practitioners focused on the asset than the client. I call what I do a client-centric business model.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that I say were the most vital in my journey were persistence, perseverance, and discipline. The skills that helped me the most were finance and marketing skills. The areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey were general business knowledge, real estate, and legal knowledge. For folks who are early in their journey, the way to develop this knowledge is from getting involved with trade organizations in those areas by attending classes, conferences, and meetings.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Although this rarely happens, when I am overwhelmed, there are a few things I do. The first thing I do is I revisit my self-care routine (see below). The next thing I do is I attempt to discuss what is making me feel overwhelmed with trusted people in my circle as they know me and usually have something to share that keeps me going. This rarely happens because I believe that when you are in line with your purpose, when you schedule rewards like travel or entertainment, and when you have a plan for your work, you rarely find yourself in this situation. However, it is important to remember that life throws unexpected situations your way that can lead you to overworking, which causes you to be overwhelmed.
