Meet Stevél

We recently connected with Stevél and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Stevél, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

Honestly, I was raised in a family of hard working individuals. My mother being one of the hardest workers I know. Growing up I would see alot of individuals say they would “put in work” but none of which were ways I wanted to get my money. Since a young kid I knew the path of cheating, stealing, and/or killing would never be the way in which I would provide for my family. I feel like deep down that is one of the motives driving me. I want to show those who come after me that there is more to life than the things our environment told us there is. I know God will have my back provide me with opportunities to do work that would bring glory to him and him only. At the end of the day I’ve come to realization that I will for ever work, it will only just take on different forms throughout the seasons of life

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a music artist and actor. I just released my latest ep “Serenity” last month and in the works on my next release with new updates coming soon.

I have a couple films I have been apart of releasing this year. One of them “Born Again” releasing on the streaming platform Peacock soon so be sure to follow me on socials to see updates

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would say the 3 most important skills and qualities I’ve learned/developed are patience, practice, prayer/meditation

In order to achieve any sort of success you have be patient in order to see results

I’m a firm believer that hard work beats talent when talent stops working hard. If you practice on your craft consistently I promise you will see results over time.

Prayer definitely has been the biggest key. Having that quiet time to meditate and pray is definitely a great way to stay grounded despite the stresses of life

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

I would say a big thing that I’m working on is overthinking. I tend to get so lost in my thoughts and analysis that I get stuck and don’t move until I get everything processed to my head. I’ve started realizing that I’m my worst enemy and that things that are a big deal to me aren’t to someone else.

Where do you get your work ethic from?

We’ve all heard the phrase “work hard, play hard,” but where does our work ethic
