Meet Steven Dupin

We recently connected with Steven Dupin and have shared our conversation below.

Steven , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Sometimes we don’t find our purpose, it finds us. After my father died of a heart attack at forty years old, I realized how important it was to make healthy choices. I was only fifteen at the time.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I began working as a personal trainer in the late 90’s in Beverly Hills, California. I moved to California to pursue a career in entertainment. While doing standup comedy at night, I became certified to train clients during the day. I found my comedy experience really helped me connect with my clients. Although they knew I would be kicking their butts, at least we would have some fun in the process. I would I tell them I would make them laugh their abs off!
When the pandemic hit, my wife and I decided to move our family to Nashville and start our own health concierge business,, The Fit Syndicate. We provide personal training, fitness classes_ HIIT, yoga, Pilates, and massages, When I’m vetting our instructors I look for individuals that are not only highly trained, but also have motivating personalities. It’s important to me that we provide a fun, dynamic experience,
We love getting involved in the community, and meeting other business owners. We regularly attend events with Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and Greater Nashville Hospitality Association. I have also worked closely with the Prostate Cancer Association. I am also a survivor.
We look forward expanding out brand and helping people achieve their goals.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Passion, perseverance, and optimism. My advice to young entrepreneurs is, do what you love and do it better than anyone in your field. Be personable. Be creative, be a good listener. Our clients have a specific goal in mind. Our job to create a program to help them achieve that goal and beyond. Challenge your clients with short term goals, on their journey to their ultimate goal or mark.
I always like to learn new exercises or trends to incorporate into the workouts. Keep it fresh and fun!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

We are always looking the partners to collaborate with. We have worked with companies like Celsius and 80 Acres Farms on some of our groups classes at trophy properties.. It’s always fun to collab with companies whoses products compliment our classes. We usually post a lot on social media and encourage students to do the same. We often have influencers in our classes, so we all benefit from the exposure.
