STEVEN, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Steven Gagnon, the visionary owner and driving force behind Eques Timepieces, discovered his love for watches at a young age when he received his first timepiece as a gift. From that moment, it didn’t matter the cost or brand—Steven’s deep appreciation for the design and craftsmanship of watches fueled a growing collection. Driven by this unwavering passion, Gagnon set out on a mission to usher in a new era of classic timepieces, blending timeless elegance with modern innovation.

Finding one’s purpose can be a profound journey of self-discovery. For me, it is clear and simple—my purpose is rooted in surrounding myself with loved ones, positive people, and most importantly, in being a devoted parent to my daughter, Avaleigh. She is the reason behind everything I do, and here’s why I believe this is the most fulfilling purpose I could ever have.

In a world where many are searching for purpose in various directions, I have found mine close to home, in the eyes and heart of my daughter, Avaleigh. She is my inspiration and my guiding light. My purpose is not just about being a parent; it’s about creating a positive, loving environment where she can thrive. This journey of love and connection is the most meaningful path I could ever walk, and I am grateful every day for it.

In the realm of timekeeping, Eques Timepieces stands out as a symbol of innovation and passion. My journey began at the age of six with a Mickey Mouse watch, a gift that ignited a lifelong fascination with watches. Fast forward to 2000, when a simple question from my wife became a turning point: “Why not make one yourself?” Motivated by this idea, I immersed myself in the art of watchmaking, driven by the desire to create something truly unique. Over the next two years, I refined my skills, transforming Eques into a testament to craftsmanship and a deep commitment to the timeless art of horology.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
