We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Steven Simmons. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Steven below.
Steven, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Change is the formula when you want more. Wanting more for self requires an self analyze of where you are now and where you want to be later in life. Imposter syndrome is another term, well to me at least, as a way of saying “ego”. As humans continue to live day by day change is the formula for self growth. Changing your thoughts will change your actions & your actions create the world you “want” to live in. I mentioned ego due to the fact that if the ego has an mental effect of only a person self-importance with no regards of how others are effected by it then that same person will experience the same reality of day by day. I’m continuing to overcome my imposter syndrome. Self care is change because to take care of self is to evolve. Being present and being grateful are my biggest factors towards my process of overcoming this syndrome. I also journal, take frequent sits at the park, I even leave my phone home when I go on walks from time to time. Also facing those things I feared , doing the things I always wanted to try & trying something new can further knock down that imposter syndrome barrier. Change you for the better to experience better, as above so below.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I would like to let the audience know that no matter where you come from you can make better for if you change. I’m from a town in Florida called Crescent City that has one traffic light that’s a 4 minute drive through the town. I attended college in 2017 & competed as a student athlete while earning three degrees in the process; associates, bachelors & masters. in a way I see myself a brand, I’m a creative person. I’m a photographer, model and now I’m getting into acting. My work and passions comes from the soul & being grateful. I feel excited about this clothing brand that I plan to launch soon. This is personal for me because naturally I’m a quiet personal so to share my creations is release to me and another psychological barrier being knocked down. The Brand aims to help assist with personal growth and evolution of self. It’s the act of changing your reality once you accept you that you want change you’ll see & hear different, sort of speak.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
A quality I would say is being honest with myself has allowed me to open doors and experience things didn’t know I was meant for.Know what you stand for to see how your morals and actions are shape the life you want developing an sense of self respect will force to experience whats needed for growth. A skill is would say is to be optimistic and present in the moment. sometimes us as humans are so use to working and finding what we “want” to the point that we overlook or underestimate an opportunity thats solely meant for you. practicing being grateful is another great skill. knowledge is infinite theres no end to new information. The knowledge I obtained to get where I am now was experiencing life, doing the things with the intent of growth and sometimes doing nothing can give an answer too. life day by day is lesson so remember to be you at all cost, be grateful to grow and face your personal fears and insecurities to have wasn’t meant for you. You create you’re own world, why not live a life where you’re happy.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes! I’m accepting collaborations. I like to associate with those who are positive, purposeful, and honest. With me I like to have good energy around as creatives or anyone in any field when it comes to sharing a space or an idea, we all help each other in some type of way. rather is emotional, physical or mental to bring in good energy brings in more passion to the project at hand. I’m optimistic, detail orientated and empathic; I work with anything. For those who willing to collaborate my email is [email protected].
