Meet Stewart Mcclain

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stewart Mcclain a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Stewart, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

My parents always uplifted me, constantly reminding me that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. Their encouragement laid the foundation for my self-esteem, teaching me to embrace challenges as growth opportunities. Over time, I built on this by setting goals, celebrating progress, and continuously pushing myself, which helped shape my confidence today.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m an author and public speaker focused on empowering others through personal growth and leadership. I’ve written several books, such as Anger Management Tools for Parents and The Art of Discipline: No Discipline, No Direction, which aim to inspire and equip readers with practical tools for overcoming life’s challenges.

What makes my work special is the ability to connect with people and make a lasting impact through my words, whether spoken or written. I love seeing individuals realize their potential and take steps towards meaningful change.

Right now, I’m gearing up for upcoming events like speaking engagements and podcast appearances, while continuing to expand my efforts with All Hoods Unite, a movement dedicated to uplifting communities and promoting well-being.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, communication skills, and a passion for learning.

Resilience helped me overcome setbacks and stay committed to my goals, especially when the road wasn’t easy. Developing this means embracing challenges as learning experiences and not giving up when things get tough. Communication skills were crucial for connecting with audiences, sharing my story, and delivering impactful messages. To improve, focus on listening as much as speaking, and always practice articulating your thoughts clearly. Lastly, my passion for learning kept me curious and open to growth. I’d advise those early in their journey to stay curious, seek new experiences, and continually refine their craft.

Though I wrote my first story at 12, I didn’t know it would lead to a career in writing and speaking. The key is to keep nurturing your passions, even if you don’t see the full picture yet.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m definitely open to partnering and collaborating with others. I’m looking for individuals and organizations passionate about personal development, leadership, community outreach, or entrepreneurship. Whether you’re a fellow speaker, author, coach, nonprofit organization, or entrepreneur with a shared vision, I’d love to connect and explore how we can make a bigger impact together.

If you’re interested in collaborating, please reach out to me through my website or social media platforms. Let’s work together to empower others and create positive change.
