Meet Stoner Michael

We were lucky to catch up with Stoner Michael recently and have shared our conversation below.

Stoner, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

As a musician, I discovered my purpose by first recognizing and understanding my unique gift. It wasn’t just about the music itself, but realizing how my talent could positively impact others that truly gave me a sense of direction. Seeing the joy and inspiration my music brought to people fueled my passion and gave my work deeper meaning.

Working alongside my brother has been instrumental in solidifying my purpose. Together, we strive to show the world the importance of unity and sticking together. This collaboration has not only strengthened our bond but also amplified our message, reinforcing why I do what I do as an artist. Knowing that we’re making a difference, together, keeps me grounded and motivated.

Ultimately, my purpose as a musician is a blend of personal fulfillment and a desire to positively influence the world. By understanding my gift and recognizing its impact, while also promoting unity with my brother, I’ve found a clear and compelling “why” behind my art. This understanding drives me forward, inspiring me to create music that resonates and makes a difference.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My focused profession is a music artist. I sing, rap, write and perform my music.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three key elements stand out as pivotal in my journey: resilience, adaptability, and collaboration.

Resilience was crucial because the music industry is full of challenges and setbacks. Learning to bounce back from rejections and failures helped me stay focused and motivated. For those starting out, my advice is to embrace failures as learning opportunities and develop a strong mindset to persevere through tough times.

Adaptability has been essential in navigating the ever-changing music landscape. Being open to new technologies, musical styles, and audience preferences allowed me to stay relevant and innovative. Early on, experiment with different approaches, stay curious, and be willing to evolve your craft to meet new demands.

Collaboration has enriched my work and expanded my horizons. Working with my brother and other artists has brought diverse perspectives and skills to my projects. For newcomers, seek out collaborations with like-minded individuals, be open to feedback, and value the unique contributions each person brings to the table. These qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge have been instrumental in shaping my path and continue to guide me forward.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My family, especially my brother, has been instrumental in helping me overcome challenges and develop essential skills. Growing up, we supported each other’s musical aspirations, offering honest feedback and encouragement. My wife and daughter provide unwavering emotional support, reminding me of the importance of balance and perspective. Together, they’ve created a strong foundation that has allowed me to pursue my passion with confidence and resilience.
