Meet Suri Z Henandez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Suri Z Henandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Suri Z, really appreciate you opening up about a very personal topic with the hopes that it can help someone out there who might be going through it. What can you share with us about your journey with postpartum depression and how you overcame PPD? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
To be quite honest I don’t know exactly how but I do know that my faith plays the most important role there. Back then 2020, it was not only the postpartum, but it was also to found out that my ex-husband was cheating on me, stuck at home with my two other kids and a newborn seems very challenging. I still remember those moments; it was really hard. My little baby boy’s still a therapy to all of us, he keeps us busy with his mischievous every day. I cry and pray every day, I lost the count, until one day started to feel lighter and lighter. Today I keep optimistic on every situation although it doesn’t seem like it. I learned how to deal with the rough times, let’s be real it affects me but like the old frase say “what doesn’t kill you, make you stronger.” I’m stronger.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Biuchic is a Mobile Boutique. Biuchic main goal is prioritize personalized service, offering a unique and curated selection to create a memorable shopping experience. We bring the boutique to you to highlight your essence.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1.-Resilience, you need to have the ability to bounce back when hard times arrive at your door or your business. Many times, you will find yourself questioning if it is worth it to try. It is worth it, even if you fail. Keep persistent until you get it done.

2.-Sales, my mother always told me that a good seller, never get hungry. It is funny to remember my starting point. I used to sale things at my son’s daycare. One day literally some of the workers hide from me because they told me that if I sale rocks they will buy it and they don’t know how to say no to me. I laughed and, in that moment, I discovered my ability to sale.

3.-Communication. Our talking is just one way to communicate. In this journey I have been learning many ways to connect with people. Our clothes, the way we sat, the way we looked also communicate. We can get many advantages if our communication is according to what we want to express.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
As I mention before I’m a single mom of three boys. Because of their needs most of my time is spent with them. The cost of living is higher and higher. (I think everyone is experiencing the inflation) Have your own business is it great but that comes with a responsibility. Keep update with sales and taxes paid on time, plus insurance, inventory and all the cost to keep maintaining my business a float, is challenging now. I’m looking for a job to assure my bills paid and then after my schedule done keep it up working on my business. I’ll make. I’m making it.
