Hi Sylwia, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding My Purpose & Building „Miss Trainer”

I discovered my purpose in a way that still feels like it was yesterday. In my early twenties, I was working long hours in hospitality in Edinburgh, Scotland, feeling tired, a little overweight, and unsure how to take care of myself. One day, a personal trainer named Andy approached me at the gym and asked, “What’s your goal?” He offered me an hour of free training, designed a program, and for the first time, I saw that change was possible. My body began to transform, but more importantly, I felt seen, supported, and empowered. That moment ignited a spark, and I knew I wanted to help people experience that same transformative journey.

A few years later, after my father passed away, I realized I couldn’t wait any longer to pursue my dreams. I took the leap into the fitness industry, fully committing myself to guiding others toward healthier, stronger, and more empowered lives. Since 2015, when I qualified as a gym instructor, and then in 2017 as a personal trainer, I’ve worked in several different jobs and industries to support myself and build the foundation to pursue my passion. My journey shows that it’s never too late to change direction, whether that’s in your career, your health, or even your surroundings, and that taking the leap toward what you love can transform your life.

That’s when “Miss Trainer” was born, a brand that embodies everything I believe in, unlocking potential, building strength, creating lifelong health, and fostering confidence. What makes my work extraordinary is the people. I watch my clients grow stronger, more confident, and more capable every day, and I get to be there guiding them along the way. I don’t just provide tools, I give them the roadmap, cheer them on, and celebrate every win. Every early morning, long call, or late-night planning session is worth it, because „Miss Trainer” isn’t just a business, it’s a movement, a thriving community, and a way to help people transform their lives, one choice at a time.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Sylwia Pogorzelska, originally from northern Poland, with chapters of my life spent in Scotland, and now living in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. Along the way, I’ve met incredible people, experienced different cultures, and learned lessons that have shaped me personally and professionally. I even worked aboard the Queen Mary 2 for Cunard, sailing across the world, which gave me a unique perspective on life, resilience, and human connection. These experiences helped me fall in love with the fitness industry and gave me the drive to create “Miss Trainer”, a space where anyone can feel empowered, supported, and capable of transformation.

Through „Miss Trainer”, I work with people from all demographics, with my core focus on women’s health and empowerment. I provide guidance, programs, and coaching that not only deliver results, but also build confidence, resilience, and long-term lifestyle changes. Looking ahead, I’m excited to expand the accessibility of my work through online coaching, giving people the flexibility to train at their own pace, in their own time, and in a way that fits their lives. There may also be future challenges and seasonal programs coming, designed to make fitness more fun, approachable, and affordable, while allowing me to reach and support a broader community.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities that have shaped my journey are transparency, genuine nature, and reliability. • Transparency: What you see is what you get. I provide honest guidance, clear expectations, and real results. My clients know I’m fully invested in their success, both in the gym and in life.
• Genuine Nature: I genuinely care about my clients. Many have become lifelong friends. Our relationships are built on trust, support, and shared growth.
• Reliability: Showing up consistently is everything. My clients know they can count on me, and in turn, they learn to count on themselves. Accountability is the key to lasting transformation.

For those starting their fitness journey, my advice is simple: be authentic. There are shortcuts and trends, but true progress comes from dedication, honesty, and genuine connection. Your time will come, and the right work will always pay off.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Biggest Area of Growth in the Past 12 Months

This past year, I’ve grown tremendously as a trainer and as a person. I’ve had the privilege of working with an extraordinary range of clients, from women just starting their fitness journey, learning movement and gym techniques, to women navigating post-menopause, and even older adults seeking strength, vitality, and longevity. Helping such diverse individuals understand that fitness isn’t just about weight loss, but about thriving, resilience, and feeling extraordinary in their own skin, has been incredibly rewarding.

One of the challenges I’ve embraced is learning how to best support clients at every stage of life, whether they’re just beginning, in the middle of major life transitions, or managing post-menopausal changes. It has required me to adapt, educate myself continuously, and find new ways to empower them.

But perhaps the biggest growth for me personally has been creating an incredible community of women. Connecting these amazing women, witnessing them support, encourage, and celebrate each other, is truly the cherry on top of everything I do. Building this network of empowerment, camaraderie, and shared success has brought me so much joy and fulfillment.

The love and feedback from my clients have been transformational. Word-of-mouth has become the strongest driver of growth for “Miss Trainer”, helping me expand my reach faster than I ever imagined. I’ve also grown personally, becoming a better trainer, a better mentor, a stronger community advocate, and someone who inspires others to unlock their own potential.

Looking ahead, my vision is to continue expanding „Miss Trainer”, reaching more people online, creating flexible programs that make fitness accessible for everyone, and fostering a global community where anyone can feel supported, empowered, and capable of transformation.

Every day teaches me more about connection, empowerment, and guiding others toward life-changing results, and I want every reader to know: it’s never too late to start again, take a leap, or pursue what sets your heart on fire..

I wake up every day grateful to do what I love. My purpose is to create healthier, happier, and stronger human beings, one weight, one healthy meal, one conversation at a time. “Miss Trainer” isn’t just a brand, it’s a movement for transformation, empowerment, and lifelong wellness.
